Happy Unofficial Week of Fall! Labor Day is always a great day, because in my mind when I was a little girl, I always thought that Labor Day was Fall. I was secretly sad because I knew that meant no more trips to my Grandparents' pool. But I was outwardly thrilled because I loved the beginning of school and the Fall food and the Fall colors and everything about this glorious season! So, I love Labor Day!
Candy Bars Galore!!!!:
My dad's sweet mama, my Grandma Betty, is sadly battling with Parkinson's Disease, so she is frail and soft and very teeny tiny. I hate that for her. Without getting teary eyed and upset, let's get to the good stuff! Grandma Betty has a recent obsession...CANDY BARS!!! Apparently, she eats like 5 a day. No joke. I'm kinda jealous! So while we were at the OSU game, we (I) kept going back to the candy bar to get "free" candy bars for my beloved Grandma...and a few for me. I ate my body weight in food that day! I had a huge dinner, PLUS a heath bar ice cream thing, a Twix and a Snickers! Holy Fatness! I'm doing a two-a-day workout to make up for that delicious mess!! Anyhoo, here is our loot. 4 Snickers. 1 Peanut M&Ms. 1 Twix. 5 Reeses. That all together equals 11 candy bars. Grandma Betty will be happy and satisfied for just a few days...I wish I could down 11 candy bars in a few days and not gain 25 pounds. Dream on.
Peabody Ducks? What?
The other day when we were driving to church, we had to stop at a red light to let these little cuties cross Riverside Drive at the crosswalk. Isn't that hilarious! So fun! That has nothing to do with anything, but you best believe I whipped out my camera so fast, because we got a pretty big kick out of the safe little duckies!
Go Pokes!!!
My Mama and Melanie...long time BFFs
Saturday night, my family headed to Stillwater for the OSU game. We played Washington State and beat their tails. It needed to be a butt kicking because supposedly, Washington State plays like a bunch of junior high boys. I don't follow, nor do I care to really follow, any kind of sport. I do as I'm told and believe it when it comes to sports. I boo when people boo. I cheer when people cheer. But we had a ball and I enjoyed going back to my "ol' stompin' grounds" at Oklahoma State! Go Pokes!!

Woo Hoo Go Cowboys!!
Family Reunion:
I originally went home this weekend, because we had a family reunion in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Oh we just had a total blast! It was my dad's whole side of the family, most of whom I haven't seen in probably 10 years. My Grandma Betty is one of five kids and they all had kids and they had kids and so on. So there were people in the 70's and little baby infants as well, so we had a nice range of family members there. We stayed up till midnight talking on Friday night and enjoyed every bit of it! We heard some good ol' family gossip and funny stories from the past and it was just a hoot! I can't wait to do it again!
This is just a short post, because I MUST get back to my cleaning! Our house somehow gets filthy over the weekend and especially when I'm not here :) So on to some laundry and dusting and sweeping and mopping and cleaning bathrooms and just being a good wifey! Tomorrow....I DECORATE FOR FALL!!!! Woo hoo!!
Have a terrific Tuesday and God Bless, everyone!!!

I bet I was in that picture of your fam and the crowd... I was sitting right behind the band! Love you and glad you made it back safely!
