Superwoman

So this morning has been rather busy. Here's how it went:
  • Woke up at 4:00...yes, that is 4:00 in the A. M.
  • At the gym by 4:18 with Claire
  • Worked out for a good 45 minutes
  • Came home and cooked dinner which included cutting and cooking veggies, cooking noodles, opening lots of cans, smelling up my house, and putting together a delish chicken spaghetti ready to bake this evening
  • CLEANED the dishes!!! What?!?!?! That NEVER happens right after I cook. I hate doing the dishes! Nothing nastier than wet food in my book.
  • Made smoothies for me and James for breakfast
  • Played with the dog and let her potty totty
  • Showered and got ready
All of this happened by 7:23 AM. It's days like this when I feel a little bit like Superwoman. And that's my little intro into my super deep (insert sarcasm) talk today...

As women, I believe we are all, at times, Superwoman. Most of us women are scholars, educators, business folk, mommies, friends, wives, girlfriends, fiances, financial advisors, cleaners, counselors, bakers, chefs, shoppers, pet carers, spiritual advisors, fighters, lovers, and so on. We are busy busy ladies and I don't think we give ourselves enough credit.

Listen ladies, YOU ARE SUPERWOMAN!! You can do it all! Now, don't think that I'm this liberal feminist, because I certainly am not. I am, however, an advocate of empowering women to feel better about themselves and to gain some confidence in who they are, not only as women, but as women of the Lord. God fearing women in Christ. Now, that is a Superwoman! God created us so uniquely individual and amazing and special and perfect and beautiful and wonderfully outstanding in our own way, and we need to celebrate that!

Today, I want you to think really hard about what makes you Superwoman. Today, I made dinner and worked out before work. That sounds stupid, but by golly, it makes me feel like Superwoman. And during my break today, I'm going to walk and get in God's word so that He can equip me for the rest of my day. That makes me feel like Superwoman. What about you? What makes you feel like a Superwoman?! Please share!!

I'll leave you with this...

Proverbs 31 is often called the chapter about a Wife of Noble Character. But I prefer to call it, Superwoman Wife :) Read through it here, and just look at how noble and super and outstanding you are. YOU, my friend, are a Superwoman.

Love you guys!
