To be a lazy lady? Or not to be a lazy lady? That is the question:
Well, that's an easy one. I chose to be a super lazy lady all night last night and most of today. It has been fantastic! I got off work at 6:00 last night, and I headed to McAlister's where I picked up a chicken caesar salad, a free Heath bar cookie (thank you, coupon!) and a Diet Dr. Pepper. It tasted soooo good on my lazy night. I headed home as fast as I could, kissed my puppy (who was perfect yesterday out of her cage!), sped to my bedroom to change into comfies, and ate my yummorific dinner. And then this...this is what I did all night...
I wore my jammies and my robe and my house shoes and wrapped myself up in my t-shirt blanket and watched Netflix shoes ALL. NIGHT. Fan-stinkin'-tastic! I pondered making a girls night out of last night, because Jamie was out of town on business, but then I thought...I really NEED this lazy girl night all to myself! So, ladies...I'm sorry I didn't include you. But I wanted to hang out with me, myself, and I. Oh. And Leia. All that to say, it was perfect! I love lazy days!
Another Lazy Day:
Today, I woke up around 7:00 (because I went to bed around 9:00) and Leia and I watched TV in bed for about an hour. Then I made some breakfast including, orange spice hot tea, an English muffin with Nutella, and a clementine. We meandered to the couch where we stayed til 10:30. I loved my life today. Thank goodness Claire invited me to the gym or else I'd stay on my butt all day :) So we worked out. I came home and did a work out video. Took Leia to get a mani and pedi (nails clipped), went on a walk, took Leia on a walk, finally showered, cleaned the carpets, did 3 loads of laundry, vacuumed, made chicken noodle soup, baked punkin' bread, and painted my toes. Top night!
Leia enjoys licking up the shower after I get out...weirdy:
She also likes to sit on the comforter when I'm making the bed:
And I pained my toes red. I LOVE red toes!
Look who loves sitting on my lap while mama takes pictures of her feet:
Gigantorm Punkin' Bread:
So, I got this recipe from a family friend of my in-laws and wooo weee! I think I shoulda made this in 2 batches...this bread is growing and growing and growing! My house smells delicious, though! And I KNOW it'll taste good :)
What have you done this weekend? Have you been lazy like me? Or busy like my worker-bee husband? Hopefully you've rewarded yourself a few hours of laziness and relaxation after a busy week. I needed a weekend like this one. I needed peace and quiet. I needed to relax and chill after this crazy week. Jamie should be home any minute, though and I can hardly wait to see him!
God bless, my sweet friends! Have a restful evening!
