Oh How I Love the Weekend!!!

Praise our sweet Lord, it's Friday!!!!!!

I love love love Fridays! So much! Because it means that Jamie is coming home for the weekend and I have someone to hang out with! Yesssss!

Let's back up a bit, shall we?

Secrets:

This past Tuesday, I began taking a class at Bellevue called "Secrets". It's a class for women and it lasts several weeks. Each week, we'll meet at someone's house and learn secrets about all kinds of things like: cooking, decorating, shopping, meal planning, and other things you should know as a housewife, mom, person, woman, homemaker, however you want to look at it! At first, I was about to say this class is everything a "woman" should know. Then I knew that would tick off feminists. Then I thought I'd say this is everything a"wife" should know. Then I figured that would tick off the feminists and the wives who don't like "wifely duties."

So anyhoo...without saying anything offensive, this is just a class that I am taking to learn all the "Secrets" around the house. This semester is all about food!!! YESSSSS!!!! I LOVE FOOD! On Tuesday, we learned how to set up your kitchen so that it makes the most sense. (Mine is set up how they recommended. Not to brag or anything.) :) We also played a true or false game about food and utensils and other cooking and kitchen stuff. I got most of them right...which made me feel proud and "Housewife-like". I'm not typically good at tests at all, but put me in a kitchen and I'll probably make at least a "B"! I'm proud to say it: I'M A GOOD HOUSEWIFE, DAGGUM IT!

Snow Cones:
Tonight, we're getting snow cones with our friends/neighbors/bible study leaders, Claire and Phillip. We're pretty excited....I'M pretty excited! I love snow cones and sometimes they hit the spot much more than ice cream or a Sonic drink or a cookie. They're just fresh and cold and yummy! Can't wait!

This Weekend:

No plans for the rest of the weekend. How great is that?! Love being planless, because that leaves room for plan-making! Of course tomorrow morning is Syrup Saturday and we'll probably take Leia to the dog park and we'll probably go work out. But we have no big plans, which is really nice!

Bible Study:

Jamie and I have read through Mark 6 and Isaiah 13. Isaiah is a tricky book and I'm not sure I'm following it. In fact. I KNOW I'm not following it very well. Very frustrating. I don't like not comprehending what I read, especially in scripture. That just means I need to study more. This weekend will be a good time to get together with my cute husband and dig deeper into Isaiah and try to understand what God is trying to tell us there. If you have any comments regarding that book, please let me know!

Vacation!:

Jamie finally figured out that he gets vacation time the week after my sister's wedding! So we're going to Maui, Hawaii with them!!! Woo hoo! Okay, not really. What a honeymoon killer that would be! We were thinking a cruise, but we couldn't find one. We thought Atlantis and Mexico as well....but dumbo Abby didn't get my passport changed to my married name until YESTERDAY! Stupid lady! I would have gotten it expedited, but then I would have had to pay around $200 to this crazy government. No way. So, last night, we were looking at Vegas. Too expensive. So now, we're thinking a nice cabin by the lake in Branson!!! That excites me the most! What are your thoughts on Branson? Any good ideas for a place to stay? Please let me know! We're really excited!
