It'S SePtEmBeR!!!!!

Do any of you remember trying to type like I just did in the title? UsInG lEtTeRs LiKe ThIs BaCk AnD fOrTh. WHAT WERE WE THINKING!? That's simply exhausting! How dumb was/is that fad?!
In more important news, IT'S SEPTEMBER, EVERYBODY!!! Glory Hallelujah! I love this month, because that means it's Fall month. I'm beyond tempted to begin decorating for Fall and head to Hobby Lobby to pick out one new Fall decoration, but I will try to resist. I'll try my best. Actually. I probably won't really try that hard to be honest, and will more than likely fail, and begin decorating next week, but it's only because I just love love love Fall! All you Summer lovers...I love you, but I'm just ready to walk to my car without getting pit stains. The sweating is getting old. I hate picking out an outfit that won't show back sweat. Anyone with me? Or am I just a filthy sweater? Anyway...see ya, Summer!

Confession:
Yesterday at the gym, I had a pretty big arm work out. I'm trying to do more weights in the gym rather than just cardio, because your body will eventually get bored with only cardio and will stop changing. So anyway, I'm switching my weight workouts from legs to arms to total body and then a full day of hard core cardio! Quit yawning! I'm not that boring! Anyway. Yesterday was my arm day, and I came home and this is what happened: I was feeling sore and tired from a good work out. I got a drink of water. A shower was starting to sound perfect. But before I jumped in the shower, I did it. I pulled my sleeve up. And. I. Flexed!!!!!!! I'm so ashamed!!!!!!!!! But after a big work out, I just HAD to see if it worked!! How insane am I?!? I didn't exactly turn into a body-builder black man like the picture above, but in my head, I worked out hard enough to get those results!!! What I really gotta work on is my ba-donk-a-donk. I promise you, if I weighed 90 pounds, 60 of those pounds would be in my rear. It's just here for good, folks. I've always had my booty, and it will stick with me forever, through thick and thick. Anyway. I just had to be vulnerable with you and tell you how much of a freak I am. Gosh, I feel humbled. And a little ridiculous.

Favorite Bible Verse:
The other day in Sunday School, all of the new small group leaders told us their favorite verses and I immediately began thinking about mine, which has been Zephaniah 3:17 for as long as I can remember. Zephaniah 3:17 says: "The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love. He will rejoice over you with singing." Don't you feel special reading that?! Don't you feel like, "Hey! I wanna serve that God! He sounds pretty amazing!" Well guess what? I DO serve that God. And that God feels that way about me. He is with me. He mightily saved me from eternal life in hell. He delights in me. He is so amazing and so powerful, that it quiets me. He rejoices over me with singing. Wow. I hope you love this verse as much as I do, because I think it's pretty incredible! What's your favorite verse? What verse challenges you or makes you feel special and loved? Which one do you meditate on and seal in your heart? Please share with me, because I'd love to hear it!

I hope you all enjoy your first day of SePtEmBeR! Woo Hoo! Love love love and God bless!

  1. Get ready, this is a long one...

    Psalm 103: 1, 3-12
Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Those verses have been on my grandmother's mantle for as long as I can remember! It's always been my favorite :)
