This has been a really great weekend thus far. I've spent tons of time with Jamie and have loved every second of it.
Side note: I love having a husband who I enjoy spending time with. He's pretty amazing.
I worked on Friday and Saturday which is less than thrilling, but still fun because I love the ladies I work with :) Friday afternoon, Jamie and I had a lunch date at one of my favorite restaurants, Blue Dog Cafe. It's just a good ol' Lafayette restaurant with yummy and unique Cajun food. If you ever visit Lafayette, LA, Blue Dog Cafe is a definite go-to place for lunch or dinner! Der-lish! I got the crawfish enchiladas which were oh so yummy! Thanks for the lunch date, babe!
Last night after work, we went to Baton Rouge to eat dinner with some of Jamie's friends. They put together some fancy cheeses, meats, fruit and crackers for us to munch on for dinner and it was so tasty. Lucas texted Jamie and said they were fixing "tapas" and Jamie was like "What's a tapas?!" Cheese. Crackers. Fancy meat. Fruit. That's all pretty hard to beat, and Jamie was a happy and full camper after dinner. Plus, we had break-and-bake white chocolate chip cookies. Yummy in my tummy! I love cheese and cookies :)
Great weekend thus far! Love spending time with my beloved!
Funny Pictures
One of my favorite things about Pinterest and Facebook and Reddit are the funny pictures that people post. Jamie always sends me some hilarious videos and pictures, but some of those are simply not blog-appropriate. But I have saved a few that make me happy ;)
1. This one reminds me of Memphis:
2. Sriracha Sauce:
That is what Jamie's food pyramid looks like when he uses Sriracha sauce. I don't care for it, but I'll tell you what...Jamie is a beast with his sriracha. He puts it on anything and everything!! It has a smelly aftermath, if you catch my drift...
3. Westboro Baptist Crazies:
For anyone who is familiar with the lunatics from Westboro Baptist, you'll appreciate this comic. They're out of control.
4. The movie, "Up":
I hope you all have seen this movie, because it's one of my top favorite Pixar movies. I saw it with Jamie and his brother Kirby when Jamie and I were dating. And I cried harder in this movie than I maybe did in Titanic. The beginning of the movie tells the sweetest love story, and even though it is a cartoon, it is wildly romantic and is a testament of eternal love :) Melt my heart. Everyone stop what you're doing now and go rent/buy/Redbox/Netflix this movie!
5. Love Pugs
This shirt reminds me of sweet Daisy, Phillip and Emily's pug puppy. Daisy and Leia Lu are besties and they miss each other dearly. Leia wants to do FaceTime with Daisy sometime if Mama Emily will allow it :)
Thanks for reading. I hope you like these pictures as much as I do. They're just simple, cute and fun. It's the little things that matter.
Tomorrow, I've got a recipe to share with you and also a fun surprise! Jamie won husband of the year award yesterday and I can't wait to share with you what he did for me. Best man alive.
In other news, my parents, sister and brother-in-law visit this coming Friday! I CAN HARDLY WAIT!
