Friday morning, I woke up ready for a full day of fabulousness!
I woke up around 7:00 to have a nice walk with Kim and Camie on the beautiful grounds of The Atlantis. Lots to look at and I swear there were miles of sidewalks to explore. It was perfect.
After our walk, we headed up to the Club Lounge for breakfast, where I munched on fresh berries, quiche and a couple donut holes for good measure. I never eat donuts, but when they're available, ooo baby they make me happy!
There was no time to waste after breakfast! It was time to go to the beach!!
Not a bad view, huh?:
I was actually pretty chilly laying there for the first hour or so because the sun hadn't come up over the buildings, so I went on a nice long walk along the beach to warm up. I saw a group of yoga-ers, a bunch of big seashells and of course, good people watching. By the way, there was a Beachbody convention or something going on at The Atlantis. P90X, Turbo Jam, Insanity and all of those other workout videos are a part of Beachbody, and they had a big meat-wad gathering while we were there. We're talking proven shakes, gu gel things, buff women that could bench press me and Jamie at the same time, giant men wearing small swimsuit than most women...it was out of control!! They go to Las Vegas in 3 months for anyone who's interested. :)
After a while, the rest of the group headed out to the beach to join us and Jamie and I looked for some sea life:
Awkward pose:
The water was chilly but it felt fabulous all at the same time!
The water was chilly but it felt fabulous all at the same time! Since I am not one to lay out (I get way too bored), we all went out to play on the water slides and lazy river. There was one slide that went straight down!!! We all stood in line and pointed fingers to see who was going first. Jamie ended up going down before all of us and the second he started down the slide he disappeared. He was gone!
After seeing Jamie disappear so rapidly, I looked at Marty and we both agreed that we didn't realize that the slide went straight down. The nerves kicked in. So I decided to go next and it was freaky! I was under water the whole time down the slide and I was honestly getting a little nervous. I was thinking, "I can't breathe! How long is this slide? Is my top still on? Good gosh, when will I get to the bottom? I CAN'T BREATHE!!!" Kinda scary. But I made it. Top on. Still breathing. I survived. Hallelujah.
The lazy river was much more my style, complete with rapids, waves and excitement. That was my favorite.
We completed the day with lunch, another walk on the beach, and shopping with Kim. We were on a search for food and long sleeved shirts for our deep sea fishing journey the next day.
Dinner that night was at world famous restaurant, Nobu. We dined on sushi, edamame, tempura shrimp, some kind of beef, cod fish (famous dish that Robert De Niro supposedly ate) and several other dishes. All were FABULOUS!
Dessert included Ben and Jerry's...again. Night #2 means ice cream night #2. And I got round 2 of Chocolate Fudge Brownie. This time I got two scoops in a cup. Heaven to my tongue :)
Me and Jamie post ice cream:
He was obviously on a sugar high. This one's a little better:
I loved this little kitty cat:
And I think she was preggers. Sweet baby. Me and Camie posing by one of the gargantuan yachts:
These babies were all over the place:
You know you've really made it when you can afford a million dollar yacht. I wonder if my part time retail gig will get me to that status...?

Later, all the "kids" walked around the grounds for a while, looking at the pretty fish and just enjoying each other's company. And Jamie found this little cap thing that he just had to try on:
I made him hold that pose to make sure I got that picture. He said it was stinky. Sorry, babe.

Day 2: Great Success! Tomorrow, I'll update you on our deep sea fishing adventure! You'll want to stick around, because it was quite the experience!
