Actually that's the face I was making on Sunday when nasty little gnat bugs were sticking to my sch-weaty face while I was on my wog (walk+jog).
BUT!! The stress has begun. The moving stress, that is. Moving out of a house that you're renting is totally different than moving from a house that you own. Ugh.
As of now, I've got 2 carpet guys in the house, putting new carpet in our living room and master bedroom. They're not happy with me because I was AN HOUR LATE getting here! I wouldn't be happy with me either. We were on a field trip and the lovely busy driver (sarcasm greatly intended) decided to jack with the seat belts and pick up more people while we were at the FedEd Forum. She was 45 minutes late. I was not a happy camper to say the least. So, we were beyond late getting back to the school and I was late getting home to meet the carpet guys. Very late. They were starting their car, ready to leave as I pulled in the driveway. Praise Jesus they were still here!
Enough ugliness.
I'm just getting a little stressed about our house. We are also getting a new roof because our's leaks. Awesome. We got an estimate from one guy earlier this week and I'm pretty sure I messed my pants a little bit. Oh. My. Yikes. Roofs are expensive. So, we're getting 2 more quotes today and tomorrow. Please be cheaper. Please oh please be cheaper!
All this to say, I would greatly appreciate a prayer or two or twelve for mine and Jamie's sanity over the next few weeks. Please pray that our house sells quicker than the speed I shove cookies into my mouth! (That's speedy, you know.)
On a lighter note...
- 1 cup Strawberry yogurt
- 1 frozen nanner
- About 1 cup of skim milk (or mElk as some crazies say)
- A big handful of frozen strawberries, mango and pineapple
- And. A big handful of spinach. Yes, friends. Spinach.
Oh my delish. This was one of the best smoothies I've ever made...if I do say so myself ;)
This might be my new favorite frozen fruit combo:
It's really yummy and made me wish I was in Hawaii, sipping on this baby while sitting on the beach, watching whales from afar. Hey, a girl can dream!
My poor dog...
All these loud noises with the carpet guys are totally stressing her out. She's doing this loud, stressful breathing thing through her nose, but the sound is coming from her throat. Ehhh I can't explain it. She's just stressed.
She'll live.
Memory Verse:
Jamie and I are going through a plan on my Bible app on my iPhone that takes us through a whole year of memorizing scripture. I've never been good at memorizing scripture, but I've also never tried too hard. I'm done being complacent. Here is a verse that stuck out a couple days ago:
"Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord." Leviticus 19:18
That verse is applicable for everyone and should be memorized by all! I know I've done my best to remember it and hope to keep it in my heart and mind.
I remember a few months back, Brother Steve, my Bellevue pastor, was talking about this passage. All throughout Leviticus 19, the Lord says, "I am the Lord" over and over again. Brother Steve was talking about those verses saying, God is so powerful and so glorious and so All Mighty, that what He says goes. It's like when you're parents say, "because I said so". God is essentially saying, "what I say goes. I am the Lord, so listen up. I am the Holy of Holies. I am the God most high. I am the Ruler of all nations. I am the King of Kings and Lord of Lords."
So, when you see laws in scripture, they're not optional. They're laws for a reason.
Remember: "All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness..." 2 Timothy 3:16
Alright. I'm going to console my stressed goggy and watch a little Gossip Girl while the carpet guys are (hopefully) getting close to being finished. How did I just now discover this show?! It's hilarious...the drama...the emotion...the lifestyles...the fashion...New York...I love it!
Love you guys, too! God bless ya!
