How have I never been here before?!

Hello, world!

Sorry for the absent weekend, but blogger has been and still is being a total jerk. It, for some reason, is not letting me upload any pictures from Friday. And Friday was a BIG day. Trust me. Hopefully I can get it worked out sooner than later and I can tell you about my day. Since I know you're just dying to know every second of my life. Basically...it was a rough day for Leia Lu. She survived, but she wasn't a happy camper for most of the day.

Back to yesterday...

All you Memphis people out there, I just now discovered Mud Island! I've heard about this place for a long time but have never been. I didn't know how to get there. I didn't know what was there. I didn't know the significance. I didn't know anything about it. But, I've heard it's a fun, hip, trendy place that I need to see. So...I went last night with great company!

We went to Harbour Town, this little community on Mud Island. Sarah had recently gone and said, "we have got to go before you move"! So, we did! Jamie and I went with BJ, Sarah, Chad and Laurie, and we ate at TUGs. Oooo buddy, it was sooo good! We all got delicious food and I am definitely going back!

After dinner, the girls walked around Harbour Town and the boys went down by the river to be boys and smoke cigars.

How did I not know this place existed?!?!
Look at those cute little apartments!

Sarah and Laurie:
We walked down by the river to see the pretty boats and just enjoy the glorious weather.

I could hang out down here every day.
Laurie had the idea that it'd be really fun to slide down the pyramid on like a burlap sack. I...disagree...due to my unbelievable fear of heights. But if you're into that sort of thing...good idea, Laurie!
Cute town homes in cute Harbour Town:
Boys will be boys:
Gathering for a picture!
Sarah, me and Laurie:
Not sure why the ghost spots are there...?

After that, we ignored our better judgment and went to Cheesecake Corner for some "much needed" dessert. I needed cheesecake like I needed a gun to my head, but whatever...it was pretty yum. Jamie and I shared a Caramel Chocolate Chunk piece of heaven...I mean cheesecake. So tasty! Chad and Laurie got the same kind and BJ and Sarah shared an Oreo piece of deliciousness. It was all so yummy and I'll most certainly go back!

All in all, it was a wonderful triple date. In high school, I used to dream about going on double dates with friends, but you have to have a date to go on double dates. Well. I didn't date in high school. And I didn't have boyfriends. (wah wah). BUT! Now, I'm married to the coolest guy ever and we go on double and triple and quadruple dates all the time! I love my life so much :) Thank you, Jesus for your many blessings!

Aight. I'm off to super clean my house before Molly, our realtor gets here. We're signing papers, taking pictures of the house and getting a sign in the yard! Whoop whoop! Friends and family and strangers, please begin praying NOW that our house sells quickly! Memphis friends, you are NOT allowed to pray that our house doesn't sell. We're moving no matter what :)

Love and appreciate you guys! You're the best!
