Final Day of Freedom

Unless you're Abby. Then style is truly non-existent! I wish I were more stylish. I wish I could mix and match things together without trying too hard. But...I'm just Abby :) And I'm great with that!!

Last Day Off:
I think I win the "Lazy Award" today and I'm LOVING it! I woke up with Jamie at 6:00. He left around 6:45, then I crawled back into my cosy bed with my sleepin' goggie. Oh it was pure bliss! I fell asleep again around 7:30 probably and woke up at 9:08. Oh glory! I was loving life. I watched some shows on Netflix then decided I had to get my lazy tail outa bed and get my day started! I knew part (most) of my day would be laundry. Yee haw!
This is only SOME of my laundry...
Our dryer has been making the most awful, ogre-ish sounds lately, so I decided to look behind it to see what was going on. Lo and behold, the hose/sucker/blower/vent thing has come off the dryer and out of the wall. Lint was EVERYWHERE!!! I almost cried/yelled/threw up/kicked/cussed...but instead, I made the logical and best decision and went to Lowe's to get a new vent thing. I even tried to put it back on myself! I tried my best to be "Mrs. Fix It" but that was useless. Jamie will help me tonight :) Lesson learned. Next time the dryer makes freaky sounds, check it out immediately!

I failed on my book reading for 2010...
Remember this summer I made this solemn vow to read all these books before 2010?...well. I failed. Big time. Was there any reason to fail besides laziness and I'm not a big reader? No. No excuses. BUT! I DID read another book that wasn't on the list!

Choosing to See is one of the best books I've ever read in my life. It is the journey of Mary Beth Chapman after the loss of their precious baby girl, Maria Sue. She died in an unfortunate accident in May of 2008. Y'all, this book is inspiring, uplifting, spiritual and just beautiful. It is an amazing example of God's love and compassion and grace and mercy. If you live in the Memphis area, I'd be THRILLED to let you borrow this book because it is just that phenomenal! If you don't live around here, stop what you're doing, go to the closest book store and purchase this book! I bawled readingevery chapter and was just amazed at the love of Christ and how He showers it upon His followers. Buy. This. Book. It's life changing and I mean that! I could hardly put it down! With all the time I have during nap time at school, I should be reading more often. My mama got me a couple new books, so hopefully I'll read a little more this year :) I'm not making anymore goals for myself, but I will try my bestest to read more!

This is it:
I'm sitting down to write this blog and grab some lunch and I'm watching some TV for a little bit, soaking in my last day of freedom before I go back to school tomorrow. I've still got to clean the carpet a little bit. Finish laundry after we get the dryer fixed. Go to a pilates class with Sarah. Cook dinner. Go to Kroger. Clean up. Go on a walk. Walk the dog. Shower at some point. WATCH THE BACHELOR!!! Whoop whoop! Bachelor season premier with Brad (old Bachelor) begins tonight! Emily, Jenny and I will be reunited again :) We'll talk about it tomorrow, I'm sure :)

Love you guys! Have a terrific Monday!
