- I just had to make up for missing last week's Syrup Saturday.
- I have 1/2 gallon of buttermilk that I wanted to use sooner than later so I could have some more room in the fridge.
I've made buttermilk pancakes a million times before, but never buttermilk waffles. Has it been done? What will they taste okay? Will they be fluffy or crispy or what? Well...lo and behold, the one and only Martha Stewart has created an EXCELLENT buttermilk waffle recipe that will knock your socks off! (Of course she has!) Here is the recipe. (Yes, that's a whole stick of butter you see...get over it) They are fluffy and tasty and have just the best waffle flavor ever! You will love this waffle :) Make it. Soon!
Another New Recipe:
I have a new found love for Parmesan chicken. I've NEVER had it before until a few weeks ago when I decided to make it. And oh boy it's delicious! Then I got it at Olive Garden the last time we went there, and that portion was so big that I ate it for 3 days. It's a yummy dish. If you haven't tried it before now, you should :) Well....there's a food blog I follow from time to time called Eat, Live, Run and I found this recipe for Parmesan chicken with a twist! I made it tonight and it got 2 enthusiastic thumbs up from me and Jamie! It is delicioso! My only problem is that I don't have a meat pounder thing, so I used a wrench. Hey! I had to improvise! All this to say, it was such a terrific dish and great for leftovers! You must try it! And I guarantee you already have all the ingredients :)
Thanks for the Prayers:
I can really sense your prayers over my job situation and the frustration it has brought me in the past couple weeks. This has been an excellent week. I have found a new sense of confidence and constantly remind myself that I am not working for earthly masters (my boss, the parents, other teachers), but that I am working whole heartedly for the Lord because He is my one true Master. Thinking that way changes everything. I encourage you to do the same.
Hope you're having a grrrrrreeat week! Enjoy Thirsty Thursday tomorrow! Get something tasty to drink! Maybe a mocha frappe from McD's, maybe a sweet beverage from Sonic, maybe a Starbucks drink for $12, maybe a bubble tea, maybe a sweet tea from McAlister's?....who knows? But go give yourself a treat tomorrow! Give yourself some love and hugs from me! Love you!

hahaha! A starbucks drink for 12 bucks! lol so true! I got an espresso/cappuccino machine and it's so much better and way less money and calories!! LOVE YOU!
ReplyDeleteYou can use a frying pan, rolling pin, just about anything sturdy/heavy to pound out the meat. You don't have to use a tenderizer. Just cover it with saran wrap (that keeps the meat from falling apart) and hammer away.
