Last Friday when I was heading out of school, the program director told me to grab a flier saying where to check to see if we're out of school on Monday. I laughed and said, "Are we really getting THAT much?" She said that the company that owns the school completely shuts down at the threat of snow. So I'm totally thinking that I've already got Monday off! Not so fast, Abby. They didn't announce their closing until this morning, leaving me on pins and needles, holding off my morning shower until I got the good news that we are out of school today! Great start to the week!
So, I got up with Jamie, fixed breakfast for him and Ben and saw them off as they headed to work. Ben went on to Nashville for his meetings and Jamie *thankfully* made it safely to work through the snowy highways. I, on the other hand, went back to bed with Leia Lu. Since then, I've been planning my meals for the week and writing out my grocery list and thinking about working out and pondering cleaning and watching Netflix and watching The Today Show and completely enjoying this blessed snow day. Thank you, Jesus.
Leia...not a huge fan of cold weather...or snow:
I've been relaxing with this little hussy all day long:
Doesn't she just look like a little harlot in the picture! She's trying to lure you in with her goodies and her beady eyes! Jamie and I are trying to teach her that good boy doggies don't like bad girl hussy doggies. She doesn't listen. And by the way, I have no idea why that picture is upside-down, but it makes me laugh regardless!
He may be a commitment-phobe, but he's a cute commitment-phobe. And honestly, I don't know why everyone is so mean to him about not choosing either girl a few seasons ago. Because he didn't pick either one, both ladies ended up finding their husbands. They should tell Mr. B-Rad "thank you!" But I DO think it's rather pathetic that he has to go on this dating show again to find love. It should be an interesting season, to say the very least. What is up with the vampire girl with fangs?! What a loony toon! Maybe Jamie will watch tonight's episode with me. What do you think? Nah. I don't think so either :)
Arizona:
I'm sure most of you have already heard about the Tucson shooting that happened this weekend, but in case you didn't, here is the story. I just want to make sure we're not just talking about this story, but rather lifting up the city of Tucson, Arizona, the family and friends of the victims of that frightening shooting and all of the government officials dealing with this heart-breaking situation in prayer. The father of the 9-year-old girl who was killed spoke on The Today Show this morning and my heart was broken for him. Please take a few moments to pray for everyone involved today. Let's not harp on the "bad guy". Let's take our focus off of him, because that's what he wants. He wants the attention. Don't give it to him. Continue to give all the glory to God and praise Him through this storm.
"To God be the glory forever and ever. Amen."
Galatians 1:5
