Wifey's Wedding Weekend

Let's start off the wedding weekend right, shall we!?
With pedicures, duh!!! I do love a good pedi.

Last week, Jamie and I were out of town for business and a wedding, so our good friends Phillip and Claire, who live in our 'hood, watched our baby girl for us. They sent us these homicide photos of her to let her know she's alive while we were away.

"Mom. Dad. Send help. They're serious when they say they want to keep me forever."
"Mr. Phillip strangles me, Mom. Come home soon."
Okay okay, I lie. They loved on her like she was their own child. Thank you so much, Phillip and Claire! You guys rock!

On to San Antonio:
I arrived in Texas around 11:20 Friday morning. Lindsay, the Bride, picked me up and we headed to her house. I looked at her wedding gifts, her dress and helped her with little odds and ends. We wen to lunch, hung out and then headed to the hotel where all the action would be happening.

The wedding ceremony and reception was both at The JW Marriot Hill County in San Antonio. Holy bomboli, this place was incredible!!
It had a golf course, swimming pools, water slide, amazing events, beautiful scenery and more. Gosh, it was stunning.
The guy giving us the tour told us that the Texas Open is here. I didn't know what that was and then he started talking about how the room has a view of the 18th hole. 18 holes of what!? Golf. Duh. So, if anyone cares, there's the 18th hole.
The ceremony takes place outside, facing the golf course and these beautiful hills. Gosh, it was stunning. And the rehearsal dinner was at La Hacienda. OOooo yummy fajitas! It was a really fun night filled with new and old friends.

After Friday night's events, we headed to the hotel with all of the wedding party for a little lingerie shower. I refuse to post those pics to reserve a little privacy for Lindsay and Dave :) It was a blast. I love adult slumber parties!

Saturday. Wedding Day.
Saturday morning we woke up and had coffee, juice and fruit down in the lobby with friends and family.

Lindsay, talking with her sister in law:
The bridal luncheon was at La Madeline . One of my favorite chick food places ever! Thanks, Nelson family for thinking of me :) We had fruit, Caesar salad, quiche and pastries. Delish.

After that, everyone dispersed for hair, nail and make up appointments. Since I didn't have a car, I just went with Lindsay and her family to go to her hair and make up appointment.

Lindsay and her mama enjoying a quiet moment right before all of the excitement begins.
Wifey getting beautified (even more than she already naturally is!):
Gettin' her hair did:
Ahhh stunning!!!
After everyone was done up, we headed to our get ready room at the hotel. There was a pull down bed. Awesome.:
It was fun getting ready with everyone.

Lindsay, just taking a moment to rest and relax:
The ceremony spot. Isn't it breath taking?!:
The cocktail area:
Gosh, isn't that view unreal!?:
My sweet Chi O friend, Kelly! Soooo glad you were there!!!!
The bride and her sweet sister, Courtney:
Biting those nails in her pretty bride attire. :)
Diamond earrings from her future hubs!!!:
About to put her gorgeous gown on:
Mama helping her zip it up:
And we're ready!!!
Is she not one of the most beautiful brides you've ever seen!!??
Me and the Bride:
A tender moment with Lindsay and her daddy. We were all weeping. So sweet:
A gift to Lindsay of her beloved when he was a little. Too stinkin' cute:
After a long night of eating, dancing, catching up with friends and socializing, the Bride and Groom left on a golf cart into the dark and headed up to their suite for some romance. Oo la la. They will be honeymooning in California for a week! I love you guys! Congrats!

After it was all said and done, I went to my King Suite hotel room for some R&R all by myself. Praise:
For breakfast, I had a Texas-shaped blueberry waffle and a banana with PB. Yum. Thanks, Comfort Suites!:
Waiting for my ride to go to the airport:
Such a fantastic weekend! I love weddings that are filled with the love the Christ has given us. This couple is madly in love with each other and with their Heavenly Father. It was a perfect ceremony. Love you guys! Thanks for letting me share your special day with you!
