Running sKorts

It's been raining for MONTHS here in Memphis. Good-ness-gra-cious. It's getting old. The good news is that our backyard is practically an olympic size swimming pool! C'mon over to swim, friends!

Our Free Pool:
Smoothie Queen:
When I was in 2nd grade, I went to Hawaii with my family and developed a love for smoothies. A deep love. Strawberry banana smoothies in particular. When my mom would surprise me and make them for breakfast, I thought she was the coolest woman alive! (Still is, by the way). Well, in my married years (almost 2 in June), I have become the smoothie queen. I love them! We have them weekly and feel healthy and cool while drinking/eating them. Delish! I follow this cute food/exercise blog called Peanut Butter Fingers and she's always making up new smoothie recipes. Well, the one I tried this morning was practically a milkshake!! And get this...look what's in it:
Yes, that is SPINACH you see on top! Here's what's in the mix:
  • 1 frozen nanner
  • 3/4 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 1 tsp cocoa
  • 1 1/2 cups skim milk (she used Almond Milk...I have no idea what that is)
  • 1 handful of spinach
Folks, it was soooooo yummy!!!!
(PS--the green you see on the cup is the cup. Not the spinach. You totally can't taste any of that leafy green veggie, but it's in there and gave me some seriously gnarly awesome nutrients this morning! Rock on! Try this smoothy stat! You won't regret it! Try it and tell me your thoughts. ALSO, if you have any smoothie recipes, send them my way. I love them!

Work:
If leaving for my work day, which lasts about 10 hours isn't bad enough...leaving this little ball of sweetness is really tough:
Yittle schweety pie.

Speaking of sch-weety pie, check out this beyond hilarious picture I narcissisticly (new word) took of me and LuLu.
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I caught her mid-yawn and it looks like she is yelling naughty words at a bad guy jumping over my fence, trying to burglarize my home and take me away! Oh I cried so hard from the hilarity of this picture. I love my dog.

Running Skort:
The other day I posted a picture of running skorts on my facebook to seek opinions. Overall, I got positive feedback. At first when I saw these I thought, "they're super trendy and only for sexy bodies" I still agree with this statement, but I also think they're super cute! And. I. Want. One. Look how cute they are:
Now, I'd buy that exact skirt if my legs instrantly transformed into those legs.

Look! Built in shorts!
Brilliant, I tell ya!

So, I knew Target had them, and since I have gift cards to that glorious mega store, I got all rainproof in my raincoat, and headed that way.
Can you tell I'm sick of the rain? Yes. I am.

Well, Target didn't have them!!! What?!?!?! Fail. Major fail. I'll just have to go on my break tomorrow. But I did however manage to grab these cuties for only $10.90. Or free if you have gift cards like me!!
Aren't they presh? Yes, I think so.

Alrighty. My beloved just got home from a biz-nass meeting, so we're gonna watch Rob Dydek's Fantasy Factory. HI-larious!

Love you guys!

  1. Abby! I miss you! You are too funny! I wish my legs would transform into those ladies if i bought those shorts too but I like you would have walked out with shoes instead of shorts. Those are super cute! I hope you are doing well!
