Salad Bowl

Wow! If that blog title isn't enticing, then I don't know what is!! Let's start with the basics...

Leia looking out the car window. Duh:
A little girl in my class gave me this flower:
She said, "Mrs. Abby I saw this flower in my yard and I thought of you because the flower is beautiful and you're beautiful too." Smart girl. Thanks, kid!

Here's Leia mourning over the fact that I had to leave to go to work this morning:
She's very Eeyore-like in that picture. Byyyyeeee mooooommmmmm. You try telling this face goodbye when you're going to be gone for the next 10 hours!!! It ain't easy, sister!

Salad Bowl

You're stoked to learn about my salad bowl, right? No? You're not? You could give two flying flips? You'd rather learn about hemorrhoids? What? Well, guess what? You're going to learn about my portable salad bowl that my mama got me for my birthday.

Here it is.

On the top is a little shelf for the toppings for your salad. The little white cup thing is your the salad dressing. Did I mention that the "shelf" is cold, so if you need to keep it cold for a while, it will stay cold for a long time! Whoop whoop!

In my salad today: Strawberries, chow mein noodle things, and cashews. For the dressing, I mixed Brianna's Poppyseed dressing with a little bit of blueberry preserves. Delish-a-mish!

Inside the bowl (bottom shelf of the bowl) was spinach. My fav.
All together now!
Yummorific! It was delicious! If you're a big salad eater and have to take your lunch to work or just like traveling with a salad (?), then this is the bowl for you. Mama, where did you get it? Well, it rocks! So there's my rockin' salad bowl!

Scavenger Hunt Salvation

This evening, I went to Bellevue's Young Adult scavenger hunt. No, I wasn't hunting for a young adult. Sorry, fellas. All of our young adult Sunday School classes teamed up and went on a video scavenger hunt. We did crazy stuff like...
  • Order chili and ice cream from Sonic, mix it together and take a bite. I thought I was going to gag. Ridic. And sick.
  • Leap frog (there were 9 of us). I looked like a blasted fool.
  • Walk like an Egyptian.
  • Walk backwards across the street.
  • Chicken dance with a gal that works at Zaxby's.
  • Ask a Wendy's employee if they sell jalapeno milkshakes.
  • Do a human pyramid.
  • Make a cross with our bodies.
  • Sing "I'm a Little Teapot" with the motions.
  • Saran wrap a couple together.
  • Ask a cop to sing the Bad Boys song.
  • Sing Happy Birthday to a Stranger (who happened to be the "Bad Boys" cop's partner).
There was so much more! And it was all silly and fun! We had a ball!

Here's the REALLY cool part. One of the teams was at Burger King doing their hunt for...I don't remember...and one of the guys on the team felt led to talk to this family and share Christ with them. Well, he shared the Gospel with them, and led he and his family to Christ. How amazing is that?! Who would have thought that a silly young adult scavenger hunt would have ended up leading a family to Christ! Wow, I have chills all over thinking about it. God is so good and He works in the most amazing ways! Ahh! Awesome! Just wanted to share that with y'all!

Now

Right now, I'm watching some horrible/super stellar reality TV on Netflix. I'm classy, I know. I'll share about one of those shows later. I don't have the energy tonight. Love y'all. G'Night.
