I've been SUPER busy the past week because the store I work at is moving right next door. It's been wildly chaotic and I've been working around nine hours a day. I realize that's normal for most of you, but when most of those hours are crazy and unorganized, those hours tend to stretch and stress me out. Glad the move is almost over and done with.
Moving on to today's song.
Song #5: Doll on a Music Box/Truly Scrumptious from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
I grew up watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang over and over and over again, and it is still one of my top favorite movies. In fact, I highly plan on watching this in the car while we drive to Memphis this weekend :) Much to Jamie's delight, I have headphones so he doesn't have to listen. I'm such a good wife.
Here's why I love this movie with all my heart and soul: I love fantasies. I love Dick Van Dyke (huge crush on him still). I love musicals. Truly Scrumptious is gorgeous. I love the setting. I love everything about this movie! If you haven't seen it, what are you waiting for?!?!? I guarantee they sell it for $5 at Wally World, so go to your closest store and buy this movie. So good.
The "Doll on a Music Box" song is my favorite from the movie. It is catchy and beautiful and clever and cute and...just watch and listen:

Now, pencil in when you're going to watch Chitty Chitty Bang Bang this week. I'm going to watch it Friday afternoon.
I'm off to watch Parks and Recreation with Jamie now. He's a busy man who has to leave for work at 3:00 AM tomorrow, so we're having snuggle/tv/play with Leia time.
