Day 6: Lecrae, Bay Bay!!

Before I get to my Day 6 song, let's back up a bit.

Last week, Leia was precious:
 Duh.

I took her out of the bed so that I could make it, and this is where she snuggled up. On all our pillows and blankets. Needless to say, I waited a little longer to put my pillows on the bed because she was melting my heart.

I love my puppy.

Next on the list...

I wore this super cute outfit to work last week:
How cute it that??!? I saw it in the window next to the shop I work at, and I had been eyeing it ever since. I walked past it for a week, gawking at it, and then my fabulously generous mother-in-law insisted that it had to be mine since there was only one dress left when we went shopping. I love it.

Look how cute it is close up:
Oh, and that same day, with my super cute dress, I wore fabulous lipstick. I bought this lipstick back in October 2009, and it is the best lipstick I've ever worn. It's called Lipsense and you have to find a distributer who sells it. Lame, right? Well, it's my favorite red lipstick, and I love it. I put it on at 9:45 in the morning, and this is how it looks at 6:30 in the evening:

I ate lunch, talked and worked all day and it still looks that fresh. Crazy, huh?

Alrighty, back to the [extended] week of songs.

Song #6: Crossover by Lecrae

It's no secret that I absolutely love Lecrae's music. I've talked about him here, here, here and here in the past. He's probably the best Christian rapper out there. It's legit, and I highly encourage you to check him out. It's been a while since I've listened to his music because I don't listen to music very much at home anymore. Used to, I'd crank up the music at home and have not a care in the world. But apartment living makes jamming out a little more difficult. I'm a rather considerate person, and I doubt my neighbors like Lecrae as much as I do. Therefore, his music is rarely cranked unless I'm in the car or working out.

Anyways, I came home from the gym yesterday morning, Jamie was already at work, and I was getting ready for work and doing some laundry. I was listening to my "Workout Jams" playlist on Spotify when Lecrae's song "Crossover" came on. Without thinking twice, I cranked up the tunes and started dancing around the apartment. I was rapping the whole song (yes I know all the words), pulling out some really stellar dance moves, singing in the mirror, rockin' the c-walk, pretending I was back at KAA, and having a ball all by myself. I don't know why I still don't have friends here, because I'm an awfully good time!

All this to say, I was having a blast, dancing, and singing and listening to good music and I knew that this had to be my next song to share with my fellow blog-readers.

So here is Crossover by Lecrae:

Best song ever, right? I have wonderfully fond memories of dancing to Lecrae's music at Kamp years ago back when they did concerts there. So fun!

Now, listen to it again, let loose, and have your own personal dance party!

What are you waiting for? I'm finished blogging tonight so go get you some Lecrae music!

Love you guys! Talk to you tomorrow!
