Day 2: Call Me Maybe

Song #2 in my week of songs is "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen. I heard this song a while back and thought it was catchy and cute, but didn't really get into it. And then I heard it one day while we were in the Bahamas, and I was like, "oh my gosh, I wish this song was around when I was a Jenks pom girl, because I would have loved to have danced to this song!!" Sadly, I think that about many songs these days. I think I'm a bit of a hondo, missing the good ol' pom days.

Anyways...

This song is a really fun one with a catchy chorus. I love it and it is my new favorite teeny bopper song. We listen to it in my spin class, and a guy in my class calls me "Little Miss Bubblegum" any time one of these types of songs come on. He's probably my parents age and prefers Rolling Stones or some other bunk to jam to in spin class. Lame.

Well, I still like to think I'm a Bubblegum Teeny Bopper pom girl and I LOVE this song:

Even better than the original video is this video that Justin Bieber and his buddies made famous:

Isn't it your new favorite song? It is mine, that's for sure! I try to listen to it at least 2 or 3 times a day. It makes me smile. It makes me want to dance.

In other news, I got an impromptu pedicure after work today and it was the best 45 minutes of my day for sure. Pure heaven. I think I needed it really badly, because I'm pretty sure the lady used a cheese grater on my callouses and put on dish-washing gloves when working on my feetums. Are they that bad? I think that means I should pedi-fy myself at least once a month. Yes, once a month indeed. Done and done.

Also, blogger has a new format and setup and I hate it. So if things look a little weird (i.e.: the signature in the middle of the page), work with me. I'm still figuring the new things out.

Alrighty, me and my perfectly painted tootsies are going to get ready for bed.

Tomorrow's song of the day will be a little more serious-ish and be a bit deeper than Gotye and teeny bopper songs. Stick around!

Love y'all!
