Good Friday

I think the most exciting thing that's happened today is that Jamie went grocery shopping with me.

WHAT?!

That's never happens! But it was very nice and I was grateful to have a buddy with me. The grocery store was a zoo, by the way. So if you can avoid it, I would.

Another exciting thing that happened today was that I decided what I'm making for Easter this Sunday. Last year was a really fun Easter with lots of food and great friends, but this year it's just me and Jamie. I thought about just going out to eat at a nice restaurant, but that just didn't seem right. Then I thought ahhhh fuhgetaboutit, let's just go to Wendy's after church and call it good. Then I thought, no no no, let's just go to church and I'll make a fun lunch for us. So, today, I decided to make BBQ Nachos!!! Not your traditional Easter meal, but it sure it a delicious one!

For dessert, I'm making bread pudding. I got a loaf of French bread from a church I visited last week from "The Bread of Life Ministries". Yeah. I hated the church, but then some sweet old lady delivered a fresh loaf of bread straight to my door to thank me for visiting their church. Whoops. Thank you, ma'am!

Our Easter feast will be a simple one but a yummy one.

I really hope the church we go to does something special for Easter. Last year's Easter service at Bellevue was outstanding. Not that the entertainment is all that matters, but lat year's service was truly moving and really beautiful. I miss it.

But it's Good Friday, and a good Friday it has truly been. Jamie and I are watching The Office and then I'll walk Leia and then venture off to go get some ice cream. Yum.

Let's make Good Friday even gooder by watching one of my favorite clips from The Office for Funny Video Friday:

Hilarious every time!

In other news, I have almost single handedly finished two bags of Starburst Jellybeans:

So good.

Happy Friday everyone! Love you dearly!
