Song #4: How Will I Know

Sorry I was rather M.I.A. yesterday. When I got home from work, Jamie and I settled on the couch to catch up on Law and Order: SVU and The Missing (one of my new favorite shows, by the way), and I was ready to write up a blog post, but then our internet went down. We live in a world where we don't know how to function when our internet doesn't work. Well, I was actually too tired to care and I took a bath and read part of my book instead :) No blog yesterday. I apologize.

Let's move on to today's song.

Song #4: "How Will I Know" by Whitney Houston performed by Glee

I watched this week's Glee episode on Wednesday, and I replayed the opening song two more times, because it rocked my whole music-loving world! Ah, it was totally brilliant!

This is my new favorite song, and I know I said that about the first two song posts, but this version really is spectacular. I hope you enjoy:

You loved it too, right? Right.

In other news, I did something crazy this morning. Something I never intend on doing ever again. For whatever reason, I woke up telling myself that I'm going to wog (walk+jog) 10 miles. Yeah, you read that correctly. I planned on wogging 10 miles. 10. Miles.

What is wrong with me?!

Here's proof that it happened:

I wogged 10 miles in 2 hours, 31 minutes and 52 seconds. I lost 956 calories, and my average pace was 15.9 minutes.

Here's how the breakdown of my miles went:

  • Miles 1 and 2--walked Leia. That was a very very slow crawl. Those two miles took a good 45 minutes. God bless her 3 inch legs.
  • Mile 3--I dropped Leia off at the apartment and then walked one mile while I finished up listening to a Davit Platt sermon. Mile 3 was walked a bit quicker than my pace with little miss short legs.
  • Miles 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8--I listened to my "Workout Jams" playlist and walked during the verses, and jogged during the choruses. It's a good interval workout that makes running less dreadful.
  • Miles 9 and 10--I walked. Slowly. Around 4.0 miles an hour. And I think the hallelujah chorus started playing in the background when my Nike GPS told me that I hit 10 miles.
Praise.

I had never walked or jogged 10 miles ever before in my life, and I'm not sure I'll ever do it again. This little experiment solidified the fact that I have ZERO interest in ever running a half or whole marathon. Sick out.

Oh! I also found this little guy on my walk:

Charming, huh?

Happy Friday, everyone! Love you guys!
