Let's start off the week with a beautiful picture of me, shall we?
Claire and I just returned from a serious butt-kicking at kickboxing. Gosh, I love this class. And Captain McWeasel was actual kind of cool! I think he knows he gonna get some back talk if he messes with us. I like that. Leia likes my sch-weaty bod too!
Tulsa Time
This weekend, Jamie was in Tunica, MS with some guys from work, so I decided a while back that I'd take a long weekend in Tulsa with my familia and go to my dear friend, Hayley's wedding. Hayley sang in my wedding 2 years ago and now she's a "Mrs."! We're all growing up so fast!!
My drive home began at 5:40 in the A.M. I was actually wide awake. I'm a morning person, you know? Hence the 4:00 in the morning workouts.
This is a BEAUTIFUL sign to see on my very long drive :) HELLO, OKLAHOMA!!
You know what makes a drive worth while?
This little angel face:
That's her spot the WHOLE time in the car. Heaven forbid she sleeps in her bed which sits nicely in the passenger seat!
Driving through Arkansas was really pretty this time! I don't know why, but I was just enthralled in the beauty this state had to offer driving down I-40. Made my drive much more pleasing. I'll take it!
Konked out!!:
This is an even more beautiful sign to see heading home. This sign meant I had less than 10 minutes left on my 7 hour drive!
When I got to Tulsa, we hung out with my Big, Kendall, whom I hadn't seen in over a year! Ridiculous, I know! So we grabbed some lunch with her and my parents. Then we cruised a few of the antique shops in downtown Jenks until we got sweaty and bored. Didn't take long. I love my Bigity-Big-Face and I wish I saw her more often! You're the best!!:
Also on the drive...Leia finished off my Sonic ice. Don't blame her. That ice is the shiz!:
Thursday night, I was taking a bath, and Leia was whimpering like a little punk! But she wouldn't come to the bath to "tell" me what was wrong. So I got out of the bath, got dressed and ready for bed and she was no where in sight! I started to get that fast heartbeat, panic thing going. Where could she have gone? I had all the doors closed in my room! Then I looked up, and she was looking at me in my bed. I guess she climbed on the pillows that were on the ground and helped herself into the bed. Ain't she just presh?!:
This is the cat pillow that I've slept with most of my life. Yes, I brought it to college. No judging. This thing has lived in 2 Tulsa houses, Bennett Dorm at OSU, the Chi O house and then the house I lived in my final year at OSU. Jamie said, "No" to this thing sharing a bed with us. I don't really blame him, but I sure do miss this guy:
Friday, my mama and I got manis and pedis and then had lunch with my mother-in-law. I love seeing her. We had lovely conversation and it was just so nice to catch up :) Plus, we dined on some yummy food from Waterfront Grill. AND it was my mother-in-law's birthday! Happiest Birthday, Kim! Love you!
My mom and I went to the studio to say hi to everyone and then we went shopping at Utica Square. I didn't find anything I just absolutely needed to have. Darn.
Friday night, we had dinner with my almost-sister/one of my bestest friends, Molly! I miss this lady so much!! We had some HUGE laughs and had a great time catching up! So glad you were able to join us!!!
Oh yeah. Friday, I also enjoyed a chocolate dip cone with twist frozen yogurt from Braums. Memphis doesn't have a Braums. I knew I never liked this city for some reason!!
My parents just had a new back deck built and we spent lots of time out there despite the thousands of mosquito bites I got. Here's my mama and my baby gog snuggling:
Saturday, I vegged almost all day. It was glorious. I watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians and some good E! TV. Classy, huh? Saturday night, I went to my dear friend, Hayley's wedding. It was beautiful and I was so glad I was there to celebrate with her as she became a wife!
I also got to see several of my sweet Chi O friends. I only nabbed a few pictures, because I stink at taking pictures, but here are a couple.
Karie, me and Devin (my Chi O niece):
The bride and groom sharing their first dance:
Me and the BEAUTIMOUS bride, Hayley! You looked radiant, my friend:
Leia likes the new monkey her gramma got her:
Dooda and Lulu sharing some cuddle time:
Headed back to Memphis. Ready to go after a potty break!:
Watched some movies on the way to and from. Totally safe, I promise!
Leia decided to take the wheel!:
Downtown Memphis. Almost home:
Weird pyramid. I don't understand this thing:
Aight. I'm home. I've been home. Just busy. Back to normal blogging asap. Love you guys. Have a stellar day!

There is ancient city in Egypt called Memphis, so that's why we have the pyramid. It's an arena that was used for basketball games and other events. There is also an egypt exhibit at the UofM with other relics and facts and such. Just a little Memphis trivia for ya! Glad you had a good trip home!
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing you this weekend...it made my month! Love you!!!!
