I Took The Plunge

It's been a big and fun Saturday! I love Saturdays! I get so much done. I usually do something fun and random. I get to kind of sleep in (Leia willing). I have "me time" which is a rarity. This morning, I woke up at 4:45 to make sure Jamie was awake for his fishing trip with BJ. Lo and behold, he was already gone. He left at like 4:30 to head to his house. Wowzers! I went back to sleep with Lulu, and she decided it was wake up time around 7:00. Thanks, pooch.

I lounged around eating shredded wheat cereal, finished watching Rumor Has It, and went to kickboxing class...without Claire. It was tough. She's out of town, so I had to go without her and get my money's worth. It was sad. Claire, I promise you, it was no fun without you! Can't wait til you're back! After that, I came home, ran a couple loads of laundry, showered, and got ready for my day. Sarah and I planned to go shopping today, but before we went out, we met the boys at Chick-Fil-A for lunch. Yum! Apparently, the guys talked like Swamp People the whole time they were on the boat. Hilarious :)

Then, Sarah and I were off. She returned a dress at TJ-Maxx, while I lusted over some shoes and sun dresses. Then we went to this outdoor store in hopes of finding some Chacos for me, myself and I. After perusing the sales (no such luck), Sarah helped me find a super cute pair of slide-on Chaco sandals. Love.

Don't mind the swollen look of my footsies...I've been on my feet ALL DAY! Plus. I just have fat feet. Let's be honest.

But I love these shoes! They're cute and comfy and will be PERFECT for school! Technically, we're not supposed to have sandals without backs on them, but I feel that if these shoes are appropriate for hiking, then by golly, they're just fine for rounding up 4-year-olds :)

Another highlight of my Saturday was hitting up Baskin Robbins. We had some gift certificates and coupons, so it was an obvious activity that we needed to pursue tonight. I got one scoop of World Class Chocolate and one scoop of Gold Medal Ribbon. Heaven in a cup!

After ice cream, I finished up some laundry, watched a show about sword fishing with Jamie, walked LuLu Bell, and now my beloved is fast asleep on the futon. Yes, I realize it's 8:00. But he woke up around 4:00 this morning. He's a sleepy-pants. I'll let him rest.

I saw something sad today. Leia LuLu Bear hurt herself. We don't know how, but when she was laying on the bed with Jamie, I saw that she had a bloody tummy :( I immediately went into "mommy mode" and got all worried. I looked it it, gave her a hug and a kiss, ran to get a wet paper towel and tried to clean her off. She didn't act hurt or bothered, but I knew it probably hurt at one point.

When Leia sees a squirrel or bird or something in the backyard, she goes into this huntress-like state, and goes totally kujo! She runs like a mad woman up and down the backyard and often falls or trips. We think that's what happened.

I know it doesn't look like much, but it made Mama Abby a yittle bit nervous. She's acting fine and is sleeping on my lap with her nose nuzzled in my armpit. Yummy.
