Expensive Wants

For some really bizarre reason, I've been on a "thing" kick. Expensive things to be exact. For those of you who know me...I am a cheapo-leapo-freapo! I'm cheap! I shop at Goodwill. My Easter dress was from Target. I thrive on telling people that I got my cute clothes from TJ-Maxx or Wally World. I'd rather brag about my $12 Xhilaration shoes from Target than brag about a pair of Citizens jeans for bookoos! I think that I get these "expensive thing kicks" every now and then because I am such a cheap broad. Hmm...who knows?

Well, here are the recent kicks that I'm on, but have yet to pursue (and will not pursue). Let's be honest. I just can't make myself spend big money on just one thing! Here we go...

Apparently, I am like the last human girl in the world not to own these babies. I've got the cheap ones from Target, but not the "real deal". Nike brand is crazy pricey, which is why I avoid it, but these shorts are pretty dern cute. If I find them under $10, I might jump on it. But paying around $30 for running shorts?...ehh...I'm going to need some serious convincing to get them! They better make me look like a super model and automatically make me lose 15 pounds. Then I'll get some :)

The second this car came out on the scene, I was in love! I love SUV's. I love big cars! I love this car! It looks like a safe Barbie car! Downfall: It's only 2 doors. Realistic Downfall: I'm certainly not in the market for a new vehicle. I adore my car that I've had since I was 16 and I'm gonna drive that baby til the wheels fall off....and then some!

Okay, these shoes really might be a potential possibility. I've owned Rainbows since I was 17 years old and I'm practically touching the ground in them now. I love them. I've worn them ragged. I nearly gagged when I paid for them, but they were well worth the pricey investment! I think I'm ready to take the plunge and make another one. With how much I'm on my feet all day, I'd love to own/think it would be wise to own some good comfy, arch-supporting sandals. Plus, with the past few weeks I've had...I think I owe myself a fun pair of shoezies :) So, Sarah and I are going to look at some Chacos tomorrow. I think she's in the market too. Peer pressure, huh?

Vitamax Blender

(source)
Ironically, our blender broke this evening when I was trying to make Smoothies. Bummer. HUGE bummer. We make smoothies like 3-4 times a week! I was so sad I broke it :( Yes. It was my fault. I didn't have the pitcher thing on all the way, and the little spikey spinners shredded the bottom of the pitcher. *Insert tear* So...I'm on the hunt for a new, yet not crazy expensive, blender. This vitamax blender is the jam! It could probably crush concrete into sugar! The blender that we've had is great and all, but I usually had to say a prayer before I crushed ice, because it made an "I think I can, I think I can" sound. Made me nervous every time. All this to say, I won't be spending $500+ for a blender, but I also want a good one. Keep your eye out, folks, and let me know if you see one!

So those are my recent wants/not gonna haves. :)

Now:
Jamie and I had a lovely evening. We went to Lenny's for din din (since our smoothie dinner was a bust). I went on a 2.5 mile walk. We tried to watch a movie, but I kept wiggling and couldn't get comfy and Jamie was falling asleep and I was driving him crazy....so he's in bed. I'm blogging and watching The Hills with my snoring dog sleeping on my lap. I'm wide awake. You'd probably think I just had 13 Red Bulls! Baaaa! Well, tomorrow morning, Jamie and BJ are going fishing at 5:00 in the A.M. Yeeps. No, thank you. I'm going to wake up when I wake up. Eat breakfast. Have a quiet time. A much needed quiet time. Go to a kickboxing class at 9:00. Go shopping with Sarah. Hang out with my beloved. Have fun. Paint my tootsies. Relax. I'm excited/ready for the weekend. Bring it on!

Love to all! Night night!
