Wedding Weekend!!!

I am officially the worst blogger ever. Most good bloggers will write on the weekend and on busy days. Not me. I was busy with family, friends, and my precious hubby....those surpass blogging by a long shot!

Anywho...

This past weekend was my dear dear friend, Meredith's wedding. She and I have been friends since 6th grade (thank goodness Jenks Southeast and East merged together, because all my friends went to SE!). Meredith met her knight in shining armor, Skylar a while back and talked and dated and fell in love and then got married on July 10th, 2010. They are PERFECT for each other!

But let's back up. I went to Tulsa on Wednesday to see my family, see some friends and spend time with the bride before she became a "Mrs." Of course on Wednesday night, my parents and I got the obligatory In The Raw dinner for some much needed sushi! Yessss!!!!! Then we just sat in the living room, played with my pooch (the dog!) and caught up on great conversation!

Thursday morning, my mama and I got pedicures, manicures and I got my eyebrows waxed. Why do they always ask me if I want to get my lip waxed? If you are my friend and you are reading this right now, please be honest with me and tell me if I'm growing a 'stash. That's what friends are for. Back to business....Meredith, the blushing bride was getting her pretty nails done at the same time and place that we were getting our done and she was just glowing! When I think of a bride, Meredith fit the bill, because she was absolutely radiant and so in love!

My mama and I went to eat at WildFork at UticaSquare with Camie and Kim--my sister and mother in law. That's one of my favorite places ever! My best friend, Megan and I usually go there for a chick date, but this time I was with my other favorite ladies! Utica Square makes me feel like a posh lady...puuuleeeze!

Friday was a busy day! Mer's bridal luncheon was at CalistogaBarAndGrill and it was perfect and lovely! Mer was still the blushing bride, filled with smiles and excitement and I was just so happy to be around her that day! Her attitude was contagious and we were all in spirited moods. That night was her rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, which was all at the church. Later that night, Megan and Donny brought their weenie dog, Howie over to play with Leia. Oh they romped for hours and it was a blast!!! They were hilarious!

Saturday was Mer's big day, and as far as I know, it all truly went perfectly. We spent the day at the Golf Club of Oklahoma, getting ready in a cottage with all the girls. What fun that was! It was a blast getting to know all of Mer's friends from college that us Jenks girls had never met. We all meshed so well and feel as though we all would have been friends had we gone to college together. I'm not kidding, this was just such a refreshing weekend, seeing so many friends and family! I was smiling the whole time!

Missin' my Hubster

Even though I was around friends and family all weekend, there was something missing in my life, and it was my awesome husband. I was anxiously awaiting being around familiarity in Tulsa, but nothing compares to being with Jamie. I would have moved to Antarctica for his job as long as I am with him :) He's my second half, my best friend, my husband. Love you, Jamie!

Back Update

Yesterday, I went to the doctor to have my back looked at and it looks like I've got a slipped disk in my back. Yuck. Good news: I still get to work out (but no weight lifting). I got a lot of drugs to hopefully make me feel better. No surgery. Bad news: It still hurts really badly. I hope and pray it gets better. I had to get 2 shots in my tushy (and those hurt really badly, by the way! I've got 2 purple bruises on my booty!) If it's not better in 10 days, I have to go back. So please lift up some prayers!

Today

Today, I am going to work out, clean the house, pull some weeds, walk my puppy, make some lunch, read a book (shocking, right? I know.), probably watch some NetFlix...just hang out 'til Jamie gets home tonight. Yippeee!

I love you all and pray you have a blessed day!
