Date Night with My Honey

So I've got a lot of catching up to do!

Last Saturday, I had a big and fabulous date planned with my honey bunny and I was really excited about it! The weekend before, I was in Tulsa for Mer's wedding and then all week, Jamie was super busy at work with meetings at night, so we didn't get to hang out very much. So I had planned a big fun date for us, which I was STOKED about!

Our day started off with a McDonald's Frappe :) Okay, folks. If you like Starbucks frappuccinos, they don't hold a candle to McDonald's Frappes! Ooo they're good. Jamie went golfing with his new friend, Matt and I headed to the gym. For lunch we went to BahamaBreeze. That was the first time I had ever been there, and I love it! I love me some good ol' seafood!

After lunch, we headed to the movie theater to watch Despicable Me. Oh my goodness, it was hilarious! First of all, we had to sneak in some contraband, because we aren't going to pay $25 for a pop and 3 skittles. So we snuck it in. Shhh...don't tell!

I'm getting our sneaky goods ready :)
Nothin' like mini Diet Pepsi, Skittles and Tootsie Roll Pops

The movie was fantabulous! See a trailer here: http://www.despicable.me/ It really was great though. We may have been the only adults in there without children, but that's okay. We act like kids ourselves, so we for sure enjoyed ourselves! And it was in 3D! Who doesn't love that stuff?

Jamie in his cool 3D goggs!

I guess I'm a little more excited about the movie...go figure

After the movie, we headed to the mall to kill some time. I hadn't been to the mall out in the city of Memphis (I've only been to Wolfchase), but this was a really nice mall. Jamie and I, being the really cool dorks that we are, both decided that we needed some glasses. Not that we need to look smarter, because we just radiate intelligence, but neither of us need glasses (thank goodness), but have both always wanted them! So...that was our purchase at the mall! How cool are we?! Very cool, actually!

When we left the mall, we went to Swanky's for dinner, and my oh my, it was yummolicious! Jamie got a burrito and I got fish tacos. Delicioso!

Me at Swanky's in my cool new specs!

Jamie, looking all official in his new specs. (Does he not look like Clark Kent? I'm waiting for him to rip open his shirt and find a Superman suit underneath!)

He must be hungry or somethin'...

After din din, we were supa full, so we headed home for a bit. I walked Leia and then we just lounged. Later on, we headed to Jerry's Sno Cones with Jenny and Allen for our first Memphis Sno Cone experience. This place is in the hood, but it's worth dodging bullets to get here! (It's not that bad, but it's out there!) You can get just a plain sno cone, or get it mixed in with frozen yogurt! How crazy is that? I just got blue raspberry...my old sno cone stand by! Yummy!

Me and Jenny with our icey treats!

Our date night was PERFECTION! We had so much fun together and enjoyed every bit of our day! I love my husband and look forward to millions more dates in our future!
