Friday evening was beyond spectacular.
You wanna know why? Because we went to The Magic Kingdom! My favorite park in the whole wide world!!! We found out Friday morning that The Magic Kingdom was having late park hours that night from 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM!!! AHhhh!!! What the heck?!?! Now, I did spare my husband and sibling-in-laws from staying until 2:00, but I could have stayed, with bells on, until the end of the night :)
But let's back up to dinner, shall we?
We made reservations at Portobello at Downtown Disney:
It was a delicious Italian restaurant and it was oh so delicious! I had one of the yummiest margarita pizzas ever with fresh mozzarella...mmm...so tasty.
After dinner, we walked around Downtown Disney for a bit, letting our tummies settle before finding dessert.
Of course, we had to stop at the Lego store, since Jamie and I are Lego people now.
Here is the fabulous Toy Story sculpture made with a bunch of Legos:
Way cool. Jamie and I could totally dominate that thing if given the opportunity :)
My cute hubby made a little worker for the company he works for :
Red hard hat and all.
Now here he is showing up the little kids with his mad Lego-building skills:
Show off.
Then, we went into the greatest and largest Disney store I've ever seen:
I was in heaven:
As I have been most of the trip.
I decided that I want to have lots and lots of babies one day, because I want a valid excuse to buy a serious amount of Disney stuffed animals and Disney toys and Disney figurines and all Disney kid stuff. Glorious. I just love Disney stuff!!!! I can't say it enough!
We left Downtown Disney and headed to the magical Magic Kingdom!! I seriously don't think I quit smiling.
Jamie and I got my picture taken where Angela and I had our's taken years ago:
I also have many a picture taken there with other family members and pom friends. Good memories.
Camie and Kirby at the happiest place in the world!
First time seeing Cinderella's castle:
Me and Jamie in front of the castle:
I wish we could have gotten married there. Jamie's wishes, of course :)
Does it get any better than this:
After we got settled into the park, we watched the evening firework show complete with Flying Tinker Bell, music and magic. I might have cried.
Funny story: While Tinker Bell was flying from the castle across the park, there was a young teenage boy standing in front of me with a toy gun, and he pointed the gun at Tinker Bell and tried to shoot her down!!!! He made shooting noises with his mouth and tried to kill the innocent flying fairy! Punk kid.
Our first stop was to Space Mountain to see how long the line was. Too long. So we went to Stitch's Great Escape--a hilarious little show where Stitch the Alien escapes and runs amuck throughout the theater. It was hilarious. We had some seriously Jerseylicious ladies behind us that were almost as entertaining than Stitch himself. Out of control.
We moseyed around the park for a bit, looking for rides that we could just jump on and that's when we saw Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride:
Our magic carpet went up and down, and we even got spit on my camels. It was hilarious!
I tried to take a picture of me and Jamie while on the ride, but right when I took the picture, a camel spit on us, so this was the result:
Scary smile by me...
Next stop: Pirates of the Caribbean:
Ahhhh! One of the best rides ever!!!! Yet again...pure joy.
Then we watched the Disney's Electrical Parade. Very festive!
Tinker Bell:
Goofy:
Mickey:
Alice:
Cinderella:
Prince Charming:
Peter Pan and Captain Hook:
Dopey:
Pinocchio:
After that, I think we just hit up The Haunted Mansion...which was beyond outstanding...duh...and then we called it a night, because it started to rain a little bit.
Another fabulous day. Another fabulous night. Another amazing Disney experience! I love this place! Let's go back every year!
