Final Day at Disney World

Sunday was a sad day.

A really sad day.

It was the day we had to say goodbye to the happiest place in the world.

We started off the morning with walks outside, breakfast at the resort and of course, games at the arcade:

This is the boys playing football and then they graciously invited me to play basketball with them.

I dominated. Of course.

Lies. I'm terrible at basketball.

We spent the morning and early afternoon at Downtown Disney. We had souvenirs to buy and lunch to eat at this little chicken place. I bought a tank top, a Minnie Mouse mug, a magnet, and a tumbler for Emily for watching Leia while we were gone. I wish we had babies, because I wanted an excuse to buy lots and lots of Disney stuffed animals. Jamie wouldn't let me buy any.

I'm a 25 year old grown lady. Am I not allowed to still love stuffed animals?

When we got back to the hotel, we couldn't go back into the room, so we snoozed and relaxed in the lounge area. It was nice. Kirby and Camie's bus left way before our's because their flight was before our's, and Jamie and I hung out in the lobby area.

There was an artist room where an artist drew Disney pictures and it played on a big screen like this:

We watched him draw that Winnie the Pooh from the beginning. He was a very good artist. I was a very jealous girl. I wish I could draw.

Jamie was less than thrilled with the drawings, so he played iPhone games. I'm easily amused, though:

After the artist was finished drawing, he played classic Disney cartoons. I was perfectly happy waiting for our bus as long as I'm watching Disney cartoons.

Yet again...I may be a 25 year old grown lady, but I sometimes still have the entertainment of a toddler.

Here are a few more pictures of our resort from the inside:

Lots of original sketches of scenes from Disney movies:

Of course, Crush from Finding Nemo was my favorite:

After a while, it was time to get ready to catch our bus. Outside of the resort was a little art area set up, and I did my best to draw Nemo based on the directions:

I'm a horrible artist:

They even gave step by step instructions on how to draw the simple fish, and I still screwed it up.

Oh well.

We hopped on our bus. Sadly headed to the airport. Waited to get on a plane. Ate some din din in the airport. Flew to Atlanta. Got delayed. Flew to Alexandria. Drove to Lafayette. Arrived home around 1:30 in the morning, I think. Long night. Happy to be home. Sad to be gone from Disney World.

I'll see you soon, Disney!

Hope you all enjoyed reading about my adventures :)

Thank you, Schoenthaler's for another AMAZING trip!! This one might have been my favorite! Love you guys!
