Surprise Tulsa Visit

This weekend, Jamie and I scored brownie points with our families. We surprised them in Tulsa for a little visit since everyone was already in town. I took zero pictures all weekend (stupid me), but I did a lot of fun stuff. Let's go down the list of what we did in T-Town.

1. Surprise at Ervin Photography:

We drove right into town, and met my dad at the door of my parents' photography studio. He let Leia in to surprise my mama. I'm pretty sure I heard her scream, "Wiener!!!" when she saw Leia, because that's what we typically call her--our wienie dog. SURPRISE!

2. Dinner at Charleston's:

That's one of mine and Jamie's favorite restaurants. We love it and usually try to eat there when we're in OK. I had the chicken ciabatta sandwich---mmmm.

3. Friday, I had lunch with Ashley, my dear friend from OSU:

(Old picture) We ate at The Wild Fork at Utica Square, and it was derlish. Her baby girl, Kinsleigh joined us and so did her future baby girl Riley (she's in Ashley's tummy!). I had my usual--the chicken pita sandwich--so good, and I was so glad to see you as well, sweet friend!

4. Dinner in Bartlesville with the Schoenthaler's:

(Old picture) Jamie's parents are doing the big move this week from Oklahoma to Illinois, so they were all in town--Kirby and Camie included :) Meme and Papa also joined us for dinner. It was a grand ol' time eating some yummy Dink's BBQ and cake from Merritt's.

Jamie stayed in Bartlesville to hang out with his family, while I did this...

5. Breakfast Saturday morning with Karen and Kendall:

This picture was taken of Karen and her sweet baby and hubby at the Zoo Saturday morning, but Dumbo over here forgot to snap a cute pic of us at breakfast. So I stole her picture of that same day to make up for it :)

(Another old picture...from left to right: Ashley-my G-Little, Abby-my Little, Leia, Me, Kendall-my Big) I wish we could have had a Chi O family reunion, but sadly that'll just have to wait. All 4 of us are way too spread out all over the US and the world right now to make the happen. One day...

So anyway, Karen, Kendall and I met up at Panera Bread for some yummy breakfast of bagels and fruit, and fabulous conversation. I miss you two dearly, and you guys better be planning your trip to Lafayette very very soon!!! And I mean it!

6. Lunch with Megan, Stacy and my Mama:

(Another old picture...From left to right: Megan, Me, Stacy, Alyson, Kailey at our friend Meredith's wedding two years ago.)  We all dined at In The Raw--I had to get my sushi fix, ya know? So enjoyed catching up with Megan and Stacy, and I'm so glad my mom was able to join us! You two will forever be two of my top favorites ever! Love you both so very dearly :)

7. Nail salon with my mama, Megan and Stacy:

No, my dad didn't go get pedis with us, but I really liked this picture...so here it is :) I love getting my tootsies painted with my mama. It's our "thing". And now my toes are cute. The important things in life...

8. Shogun with the Ervin's and the Schoenthaler's:

Shogun is one of my top favorites ever, and I'm so glad both of our families got to enjoy dinner together Saturday night. I totally dominated the Seafood Special and could easily eat it again tonight. So stinkin' good. Thank you to both families for taking the time out of your busy schedules to play with us while we were visiting :)

By the way...has anyone noticed our trip revolved around food? Well, what's new, huh?

9. Jamie, Leia and I made the long, 9 hour, drive back home to Lafayette:

I love my little family of 3.

Thank you, Tulsa, for another fun trip! Hopefully I'll see you soon!

Love you, friends and family :)
