Legos and Puppy Chow

Last night, Jamie and I channeled our inner child and decided to build a Lego log cabin and make some puppy chow! In fact, Jamie was quite the chef when it comes to puppy chow. He added a little more here, stirred a little more there, and voila! Puppy chow!

Leia LOVED that we finished off a container of peanut butter, because she got to lick as much as she could of the empty tub:
Peanut butter might just be her favorite human snack...next to deli turkey:
Just keep licking....just keep licking...:
The final product:
And my cheese ball of a husband. The puppy chow was delicious but is unfortunately a recipe for a tummy ache as well. I had a few handfuls, and then my tummo started to scream at me for going a little crazy. Whoops! So good though!

On Thursdays, Jamie went to Target and bought a little $3.00 Lego helicopter that he put together for me. He said that he got it for me as a gift, but I think he really just wanted to make it for himself :) Gosh, I hope I give that man a boy one day! He'd be the best boy daddy!

Then he decided that we should make a big masterpiece together! I was picturing the Empire State Building or some giant Star Wars land that you see in Toy Stores. I told him to go pick one out, crossing my fingers that we wouldn't have a complete galaxy in our apartment later!

He ended up buying a really cute log cabin Lego set up with several different options to build. I was really excited!

First, we built the little kayaker in his boat:
I turned his hat sideways, because he's a thuggin' adventure Lego man!

Alllll the pieces. I think there were 375 maybe:
It came with a little book with step-by-step instructions on where to put all of the pieces. I'm a really methodical person, so I actually LOVED putting this together! It was fairly simple and really fun with just a slight challenge. We had a ball.

Here's the base of the log cabin:
And the cabin:
The final product:
The tree was probably the hardest thing to put together, but we did it. So fun:
I liked my little adventure man the best:
Don't mind my greasy face and bald head look...ooo Abby...we need a makeover and try to redeem some of these pictures I've shared the past couple days. Yipes!

All of our Lego friends:
The helicopter on top of the house is the one Jamie made on Thursday. Good golly, we're bound to have all boys now that we've started a mini Lego collection. Here goes to stepping on Legos hidden in the carpet and holding in 4-letter words because of the pain for the next 30 years....Good golly.

If you are married and are stuck in a lame rut, go buy a Lego set! Jamie and I had SO MUCH FUN putting this together! As silly as it sounds, we worked together, helped each other out and completed a project together. I enjoyed it :)

Hope you all are having a wonderful Saturday thus far! I'm about to make bagel sandwiches for me and Jamie and go on a walk with Lulu bear! Love you guys!
