Breathe In, Breathe Out

Happy Sunday from Leia-LuLu-Bird!
This is what me and my baby girl have done almost all day...
...lounged...and it's been glorious!

This is my new favorite breakfast:
Plain Cheerios with strawberries and one packet of Splenda. Oooo so glorious! Strawbs are a little bit cheaper now, so I buy them like every other week, and they make my heart, my tongue and my belly happy. I've loved strawberries my whole life! When I was little, I used to take the whole pound of strawberries in it's container up to my room. I'd fill up a bathtub with water and bubbles. I'd sit in that hot tub and eat the WHOLE thing of strawberries (often with a side of powdered sugar), while reading a book...usually Berenstain Bears. I've always loved bubble baths. I've always loved strawberries. And everyone loves the Berenstain Bears! What a great combo! All that to say, I love this breakfast thing I've got goin' on!

Small Group Get Together:
Last night, we had a small group gathering. It's been on the books for quite some time, but we didn't really know what we were really doing. No one knew what the guys were doing, but the girls got together at Claire's house to do our nails. It ended up being only me and Claire painting our toes. I'm about to remove my polish already because I made a poor life choice and painted my tootsies Pepto/Easter egg pink. Eww yuck. I forgot how much I hated that color. I just need to throw it away! We had great conversation with just us girls and then we headed to the Walters' house to see the boys and eat some din.

Much to our surprise and delightment (new word...like it? I do!), the boys made dinner for us! Impressive huh?
Here's what they cooked up:
Chicken cordon bleu (I think), seasons carrots, broccoli salad, French bread and chocolate lava cake and ice cream for dessert (which sadly went undocumented!). It was all very delicious and fun to eat someone else's cooking for once :) I enjoyed it! Thanks, boys! Thanks, Jamie!

Jamie took this picture:
He's some loser from one of his loser movies like The Hangover. Oh Beloved...I love your humor! :)

The Gurrrrls:
Tori, Brianna, Jennifer, Kelly, Claire, Me, Lindsay...sweet sweet ladies! I adore you all!

Breathe In, Breathe Out:
This afternoon, I went on a walk/fun. It was GORGEOUS outside, and I needed to get out and enjoy God's unbelievable creation. So, I turned on my workout playlist and got to joggin' and walkin'. One of my most favorite songs came on that I hadn't heard in forever. It's 116 Clique's "Breathe In, Breathe Out" and it is awesome! Back in the day (last summer), when I first began blogging, I talked about how I want to rid my ipod of filth. Not that I need to be jamming to K-LOVE 24/7, but I DO NOT need to be listening to degrading and nasty songs that just so happen to "have a good beat". So I listened to this fabulous song that I absolutely adore, and was a chorus away from bustin' out some dance moves, out in the public, in my quiet little neighborhood!

YOU listen to this song and just try not to get out of your seat and share your tail feather!!

It's hard to keep still, isn't it? Now I know the video was lacking visual appeal, but the song is just awesome! It's fun, it's fast, it's got a great beat, and it's an actual Christian song! Ha! Whoda thunk?! This particular song is about reading and breathing in the Word of God, letting it soak in your heart and then breathing it out and sharing His story with the world. Gosh, I love it! I have vivid memories of dancing to this song during my Kanakuk and Kids Across America days. Gosh, I miss those days. Sweating in the gym at K-Life, without a care in the world, dancing like a crazy woman, praising Jesus, and having a ball! Between you and me, sometimes when Jamie's not home, I turn on this song and Lecrae's other music and bust a move in my own house. There you have it. Secret's out. Try it sometime! It's very liberating!

All this blabbering to say, check out 116 Clique's music. It's powerful! It's uplifting! It's fun! It's excellent workout music! Give it a shot :)

Well, Jamie's gone for the night. He's in Tampa on business and will return tomorrow. Woo hoo! So I'm watching Eat, Pray, Love with Lulu-Pants and enjoying a quiet night to myself...all the while missing my hubs incredibly!!!

I love y'all and hope you're having a fantastic evening!!!

  1. Lu-Lu brings back great memories of growing up with Goldie! I've since moved on to a 76 pound Shepherd, but there's something adorable about the tiny little ball those dachshunds can get in. :)
