Running Fool...hardly...

Disclaimer:

I just painted my nails red...which means I much type very carefully! Why does red nail polish always feel so much more messy than any other color? It looks like a toddler painted my nails, for goodness sakes! Also, if you see any typos, it's because I'm typing carefully as to not mess up my gorgeous nails anymore than they already are...bummer.

I'm Not REALLY a Running Fool:

I'm more like a fool actually. Today, I went running because I'm training for the St. Jude 5K in 2 weeks. Yes, I know some/many/most of you are thinking, "Abby, do you really have to train for a 5K?" To answer your question, yes, yes I do. I am athletic and in fairly good shape, but I am NOT a runner. I can work out like a man woman all day long, but I am just not a runner at all. However, today, I went outside to run 2 miles in a row. I was a little nervous about it, because that's a lot for me. Well guess what? I RAN 4 STINKIN' MILES!! In a row! Without stopping! I was pretty proud of myself! God gave me an able body, so I have zero excuse not to workout and take care of it. Now, I didn't look like this woman. All gazelle-like and smooth with this groovin' body:
I looked a little more like this guy. Bouncing and panting and praying that Jesus would take me up sooner than later!:
BUT, I ran 4 miles today. That's twice as much as I intended on running and I felt great afterwards! I iced my knees, relaxed a little bit, and stretched out my achin' body. Tomorrow will be weights and cardio that isn't running. Gotta change things up a bit from day to day.

Christmas Decorating:

I hope Jamie isn't reading this today, because he's in for a surprise next week. Since Jamie and I will be in Tulsa for Thanksgiving, I won't be able to decorate our house on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. Sad day. So. I'm decorating on Monday! Yessss! I can't wait! I think I'm going to put on my Pandora Christmas station and belt some Holiday tunes while sippin' on hot chocolate and making our house festive! Oooo I can't wait!
For those of you who care...

I'm watching Mulan right now. I love this movie! Jamie has been playing xbox since about 10:00 this morning. What time is it, you ask? It's 5:10 PM. Yes. He's been playing for over 7 hours. Whoa. Our Sunday School leader's kid, whose an 8th grader, thinks Jamie is the coolest thing next to sliced bread (I have to agree), so they've been playing video games together. Oh goodness. Yikes. He's been over here since 2:00. So I've been watching Say Yes to the Dress, painting my nails, laundering, and watching Mulan. Jamie's playing video games. I'm watching Disney. We're such kids.
Date Night:

After Jamie's friend leaves, I think we're gonna go to dinner then go see the new Pixar movie, Megamind in 3d. I'm pretty excited!! I'll let you know how it goes :)
