Remember last week when I said, "Tomorrow I'll show you how to dress modest yet stylish?" Well...About a week has gone by and here we are! Whoops. I had Thanksgiving break and now I'm home and back to a tid bit of normalcy. So, I am going to show you how stylish you can be without being ho-y/trampy/skanky/yuck-o. I took some time to look for some "very hip" celebrities to show you that even they don't have to dress ho-tastic all the time! Here we go:
1. Carrie Underwood...how cute is she?!? Too stinkin' cute if you ask me!
2. Amy Adams. Perfect example of classy/casual/chic. Love her.
3. Taylor Swift. Duh.
4. Rachel McAdams. I just love her. She's so classic and sophistocated and timeless.
5. Nicole Ritchie. Super bohemian chic.
6. Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. They don't smile, but they dress cute.
7. Blake Lively and Cameron Diaz. They even dress the same! It's a short skirt, but not too scandalocious.
8. Jennifer Aniston. Nuff Said.
9. Mandy Moore. Cute/Casual/Flirty.
10. Kate Hudson. I love this lady and I love her style! So cute and sassy and doable!
11. Claire Danes. How cute is this dress?!
See, folks!? It CAN be done! I know these last couple posts have been rather silly, but it's something that I feel very passionately about. When I was about 16 or 17 years old, the Lord completely convicted me of my attire and how I want to present myself. I know you're thinking, "Abby, have you ever owned anything remotely risque?!" Well...sure! Ladies, here me loud and clear. It don't take much to makes boys stumble! So let's help them out a little bit. You can dress cute and sassy and sexy and stylish and hip and wear all of today's trends without showing your rear and your tatas! They get enough temptation from the world as it is and they don't need you flashing your goodies all over the place!
So, here's the deal. I want you to stop right now and think about your wardrobe. Are you wearing things that are super-dee-duper tight and show off your milkshake or your lovely lady lumps? Well then. Stop again and pray about it. Do you really think those clothes are necessary? Prolly not. So let's get rid of them! And no, I don't mean Goodwill them for some other girl to wear them immodestly. I mean throw them away! OR! Here's a better idea! Keep wearing them, but wear something over or under it to make it not as revealing. I know I sound like the Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe, but modesty is big on my heart, girlfriends and I feel very passionately about covering ourselves up to protect boys' eyes. Can we do that?! Yes we can! Let me know what cha think!
Love y'all and God Bless!
