I GOT A JOB!!!

You know what? We serve an unbelievably AWESOME God! I've been keeping my big news a secret for week, because I didn't want to get my hopes up. But here's my big story:

Every Monday, I teach music at this awesome private school. I. Love. This. School. Ever since I've been teaching here, I wanted to be an actual teacher at this facility! This is NOT a day care. This is NOT a crummy joint where the teachers are all wearing sweats and tongue rings. This is NOT a place where you hear yelling and cussing and see babies with dirty diapers that haven't been changed for hours. That's what you see at most "day cares". Not this place. This place is the most unbelievable learning facility I've ever seen and I have enjoyed teaching music here the past few months. This is a school that focuses their teaching on what the children want to learn and how they can learn to their fullest potential. Friends in the Memphis area!...if you have children 4 and under, send them there! When Jamie and I decide to be parents (many years from now), they WILL go here if we have to put them in school. So anyways...that's my brag on this school!

Last Monday, Miss Carolyn the school director called me in to her office after I finished teaching music. Oh. My. Freak out. I was nervous, because this sweet lady is lovely, but rather intimidating. So I walked into her office and to make a long story short, she told me that a Pre-K position opened and she wanted me to apply. My heart jumped out of my chest and began beating like wildfire! I was thrilled! I was honored! I was elated! I was pleased! I was shocked! I told her that I am so excited to apply, but that my obligation is to Kindermusik for the next month or so, until I finish. Anyhoo, I applied. I interviewed on Wednesday. I had an interactive interview in the pre school and pre-k classroom on Friday. I had another interview with someone else on Friday. And this morning, when I walked into school, she told me she wanted to extend an offer for me to work with them!!! I held in the tears, but they were streaming inside of pure and utter excitement! I'll be working full time with full benefits and am stoked about it!

More details to come later, but I just wanted to give God all the glory in this situation! He is so good and so sovereign and has listened to and answered mine and Jamie's prayers for a full time job for me. I praise You and thank You, my sweet Jesus!

Kindermusik has been SUCH a BLESSING in my life and I have been honored and privileged to work for Miss Annette, but being at this stage in my life, as a newlywed, with no kids, I need a more full time job. This will help us out a ton financially and I am grateful for this opportunity to work for such an outstanding company! Praise Him!

But....I WILL miss seeing this little thing every day, throughout the day...

I'll miss scwatching that bewy...
I'll miss scwatching that hiney...
I'll still get to see this little snot mess up the pillows right when I make the bed...
But I won't get to cuddle her for long when she wants to snuggle after messing up the pillows...
And I'll have to find time to walk her in the morning or evening when I get home...
For those of you who were praying, THANK YOU! God heard your prayers and answered them this morning! I am so excited and will fill you in on my future journey as a pre-k teacher! Keep on praying for me as I take on a full time job. What a huge change that'll be!

Love y'all and thank you again for your prayers! Woo hoo!
