The Goonies.

Quite the classic movie, is it not? Jamie and I watched this a couple weeks ago and it never seems to get old. We're still laughing at the same scenes and discovering new and different funny parts each time. Gosh, I love this movie!

As we were watching, I asked Jamie, "If you had to have one Goonie for a kid who would you choose?"

We both immediately blurted out--jokingly--SLOTH!!!

Okay, I kid I kid. We wouldn't choose sloth for a son.

We then voted off Mouth:

He was the absolute worst Goonie ever! He's rude and crude and mean and pervy and just an all-around punk face. No Mouth Schoenthaler for us either.

But then, I knew Jamie's answer. The kid who he'd really want to claim as his own.

He LOVES Sean Astin! This kid is a Goonie, he's a football player and a hobbit in later films and he's just a total and complete stud according to Jamie.

Me? I can't stand the kid! I don't know what it is about him, but he annoys the mess out of me.

Jamie would love to have asthmatic little Mikey for a kid, but I'd much rather have us a little Data Schoenthaler:

I absolutely ADORE this little boy! All his inventions, the cute way that he talks, his problem solving with his gadgets, his zest for life, and...he's just a cutie pa tootie pie! And be honest with yourself. You know you can't control your smile every time he says, "Das what I said! I'm setting booty traps!" It gets me laughing every time.

And then there's Brand:

The hot Goonie. Besides Will Smith, I think he was my other favorite celebrity crush when I was little. He is just the most manly, adorable, good looking, hunk of a Goonie ever! I'd love to have Brand as my kid, because he'd be the hero! He protected Andy during all of the Goonie's shenanigans and was the leader of the group. Love this guy. Brand could so be my kid.

My all time favorite Goonie of all! He makes me laugh--like big belly laughs--every time we watch this movie. He's hilarious! He's a ball of fun! He's wildly inappropriate! He's a joker! He's chubby goodness! I just love 'em!
