Our Humble Abode

Hi, Friends and Family!

Welcome to the Schoenthaler home!

Let's begin the tour, shall we?

Here is what immediately greets you at our front door:
I've named her "Candy" because she is our candy provider on Halloween (God willing we get trick-or-treaters!) If not, Jamie and I will eat every piece I put in that cute little bowl :)

Here is "Hocus Pocus". Our other door greeter:
Oh. And Jamie's longboard. I don't think he's named his skateboards. But he should.

Here's me and our little "catch-all" mirror thing:
I love it, but we've never used it really. Since we've gone through the garage in our past 2 homes, we haven't used it. Now since we just have one door to enter and exit, our keys and stuff fit perfectly here.

Entering the apartment:
Bathroom:
Shower and toilet:
Hallway to the bedroom:
Our cute bedroom with crooked pictures:
It's a bit of a smaller bedroom, but everything fits still!

Kitchen, looking out to the living room:
Sorry about the glare. We have a bajillion windows in the living room and dining room area, giving us this awesome natural light! But I s'pose it's rather overwhelming when trying to take pictures.
I love all of our stainless steel appliances. And our cereal collection:
"Dining Room" with our new table and chairs:
The table can actually expand to fit six friends but we used two of the chairs at the bar. Brilliant, huh?

Standing in the "dining room", looking into the living room:
My favorite thing about my "kitchen":
My mom bought that little shelf thing from Hobby Lobby right after I got married to hold some of our kitchen stuff because we didn't have enough cabinets in our Stillwater house. And I love it! I put all of the stuff I use all the time on this thing and it just makes it so simple to go to and grab what I need.

I am not a decorater by any means, but I am a person who loves convenient things, and this, my friends, is a convenient idea if I do say so myself :)

At the bar, looking into the kitchen:
This is where Jamie and I eat most of our meals.

I absolutely love that the kitchen opens up to the living room and dining room. It really opens up the apartment:
Leia's toys, decorative items and all of my cookbooks:
I love to cook :)

The living room:
Chi Omegas will appreciate the the mix of cardinal and straw.

We call these chairs "The Cockpit":
Sometimes we both take a chair to ourselves, but other times we snuggle up on the couch :)

Leia Lu's quarters:
Who am I kidding? She sleeps with us, in our bed, on our pillows! That's just where she snoozes when we're not home. Diva.

Fireplace on the living room side:
Guest room:
This room needs the most work. But I'm not too worried about it :) Care free is the way to be! It's also the office.

Here's my closet:
It's giant and there's good news with this closet: I have PLENTY of room for new clothes! Whoop whoop!

My Vera collection:
Love you, Vera.

Our fireplace on the guest room/office side:
Oh! And Leia LOVES sun bathing on the balcony:
We have a balcony on two sides of the apartment that we love! But I must say, this gal loves it more:
But the Louisiana heat gets a little much for her and she's gotta come in:
And I am a happy Abby in this place:
For real. I love it here so much and am anxious to meet some friends and really feel settled. This was a much easier transition than the Memphis move, and I'm not really sure why?... Maybe it's because I got a job so stinkin' fast. Praise Jesus, for that!

Anyhoo, I hope you enjoyed the tour! Thank you for reading, my friends! Love you guys and I hope you're having a fabulous day!
