New Kid New Things

Yesterday, I made a fib. Just a little fib. An unintentional fib.

I told you that I'd be uploading a video of our apartment. Well, I hurried around like a crazy lady after my spin class and before work to take a video of our apartment and post it this morning before I was gone for the day.

Well, I took the video...twice...and then uploaded the second one which was just around five ish minutes long. I uploaded it and waited and waited and...waited. No go. So, I left it running. I went in to work around 10:50 and came back around 2:00 for lunch. At that time, I checked the status of the video and it was still uploading. What they hay?! Came home from work around 6:15 this evening and it was still uploading. I asked jamie about it and he said, "You're trying to upload a 5+ minute video?! Babe. That's not gonna load."

Dang.

So, back to boring, ol' pictures of this place tomorrow. You know....I don't know why I'm acting like anyone but my mom cares about my apartment. I'm such a narcissist. But for mine and my mama's sake, I'll still post pics in the morning :)

Spin Class

I took my first spin class yesterday. I think the last time I spinned...spun...span...took a spin class was about 2+ years ago when I was first married, living in Stillwater, still going to the Colvin and had free classes. Haven't had that luxury in a while.

The new gym we go to has a ton of classes and they're all free with the membership, so I figured I need to grow a pair (sorry, that's crass) and just go to one of these classes. I went last night and had a really good time! It wasn't that bad either, and I may or may not have left feeling a little proud of my endurance during such an intense class.

Lo and behold, the instructor I had this morning not only took me off my high horse but she flat out threw me off of it! Ho-ly-bo-jangles! I was dying! Beyond dying! And I was the youngest one in there by at least 30 years. For realz.

Oh gosh, it was tough! I felt a little bit like this picture:

Just cruisin' along. But despite my frustration with how hard that class was and how embarrassed I was that I was struggling so badly (really humbling by the way), I was so very glad that I went. The instructor was really nice. The ladies in there were hilarious and chatty and we all joked that they kicked my tail. And I met a girl in there around my age who is actually a news reporter here.

Each and every day I'm starting to feel less and less like the new kid. I'm glad that I've built up the courage to go to two different spin classes and will hopefully try out a few more classes as well. That is a great way to meet people and get involved.

I've been meeting lots of people at work as well, which I love by the way!

In fact, we had a Trunk Show this afternoon (had no idea what that was until today) for this fabulous jewelry line called "Waxing Poetic". They sell beautiful charms, necklaces, bracelets and more all made out of brass and sterling silver.

Just look at some of this stuff. It's stunning:

Downside? This stuff is pricey. Really pricey. Apparently it become sort of a collection. You start off with one charm on one necklace and then you gradually add on to it. Maybe I can gradually get Jamie warmed up to the idea of stating a new Waxing Poetic collection :) Good idea, huh? WP has a new line that just came out called "Bespoken". It'll all custom made personal charms and they are to die for. They're sincere and beautiful and intimate and personal and I loved selling them all afternoon. All this to say, if you see a store that sells Waxing Poetic, just take the time to check it out. It's beautiful stuff. Oh! And if it want to buy anything, I'm your girl!

Side note before I leave:

HELLO YOU SILENT READERS!!! I just learned how to check the stats on my blog to see who all reads this thing and there have been over 31,000 views since I've had this thing. Whoa-zers! And I've got 37 kids following me. I was shocked! And it got me thinking that I need to stop saying dorky things like "whoa-zers!" :)

But thank you guys so much for reading this silly old thing. If you'd like to make it easy on yourself, go ahead and follow me. There's a button that says "Follow" at the top left of the page. You click on that and it's easy as pie to fill out the rest. Or! You can scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and there's a spot where you can sign up by e-mail. Simple-pimple.

Well, it's 2:46 in the A. M. and I am still wide awake. This is night two of me having a hard time sleeping. I go to sleep perfectly fine, but then I wake up. Wide awake and ready to go! Ugh!

I hope you are all sleeping peacefully, though and are having sweet dreams :)

Love you guys and I'll catch ya later!
