Let's begin with this little friend that crept up over night.
Now that I've thoroughly grossed you out, I'll erase that memory with a little bit of preciousness:
Peek-a-boo! I see you, Leia Lu!
I'm That Girl
Last summer, I was at The Chalkboard with friends and family for my sister, Angela's, bridal shower. I wish I had more sisters because I really love bridal showers! Sidenote. Well, at my table we were talking about how much fun it is to people watch in the car. (Mama, Melanie, Gaile, Kelly, Joanna, Beth--I hope you remember this hilarious conversation!) You know what I'm talking about. Those guys who are shaving. The old people pickin' their nose. The ladies, rushing to work putting on their mascara, making silly faces. But the best is the people singing their little hearts out! Acting like they are auditioning for American Idol or singing "I Will Survive" at the karaoke bar. Oh it's hilarious! Quite possibly one of my favorite things to spy while on a drive.
Today, without even thinking about it, I was that girl! I was the one singing at the top of my lungs, morphing into "Queen Abby Latifa" mode and didn't even consider the people surrounding me as I was driving on Germantown Pkwy. But who can blame me? I was listening to the Glee soundtracks, jamming to:
And this:
This too:
And this one:
Those are just a few of the videos I was rockin' to while cruising outside. If you happened to have seen me singing in my own vehicle/auditorium, you're welcome for the free show. I've got to be honest, once I realized what I was doing, I giggled (yet again, by myself) of embarrassment and wondered how many people saw my craziness! I mean, I was not only singing, but I was dancing and may or may not have used my iPhone as a microphone! I am a daggum lunatic!
Oh mercy me. It was fun though :) Kind of like how I did the Cupid Shuffle all by myself in my kitchen the other day. And it was fun! Goodness gracious, I need to get a life! Jamie, I'm sorry you're married to such a loony toon!
To give you somewhat of a visual, check out this future star, jamming in his carseat to none other than Justin Bieber:
I hope my kids are like that one day!
I'm outa here! God bless and love you all!
