A Christmas Survey

I've read several blogs this week that have Holiday surveys on there, so I thought I'd join in on the Holiday fun! So, here's a little Christmas survey for you all. Feel free to respond to some of the questions in the comments section as well :)
  • Eggnog or Hot Chocolate?
-Hot chocolate, duh. With extra whipped cream on top!
  • Does Santa wrap presents or just put them under the tree?
-My parents wrap the gifts from them, but Santa just puts them under the tree and by the fireplace. I remember waking up in the middle of the night, peeking over the balcony to see if Santa had come yet, and I never once caught him! He always, at the cookies, the reindeer at the carrots, and he took the stockings off of the fireplace, set them on the floor and put our gifts out. I love Santa.
  • Colored lights on tree/house or white lights?
-I've never had colored lights. I really like the white icicle lights. They're classy and pretty.
  • Do you hang mistletoe?
-Never have.
  • When do you hang your decorations up?
-Right after Thanksgiving!
  • What is your favorite holiday dish?
-French toast casserole. Our family started doing brunch on Christmas a couple years ago, and breakfast food is my absolute favorite! So I really love all of the dishes on Christmas because they're all breakfast related!
  • Favorite holiday memory as a child?
-Angela and I getting a red jeep and riding it around and around the cul de sac. Good times.
  • What is on your Christmas wish list?
-New tennis shoes and this is a new one: Ray Ban sunglasses. I've NEVER cared to have nice sun glasses until yesterday. I was working at my store and a girl came in wearing them. I told her how cute they were and she said I could try them on. Love at first sight. But I gotta either sell my body to the Cajuns on the streets of Lafayette, or start working more hours to pay for a pair of those bad boys. Yipes! Especially the ones I want.

*Here's me and Jamie sitting in front of a Christmas tree at the Tavern on the Green in New York City:
  • Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
-I grew up opening one gift on Christmas Eve. We still continue that tradition.
  • How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
-All kinds of ornaments! Being a newlywed still, we don't have too too many ornaments, so I put on whatever I've got :)
  • Snow. Love it or dread it?
-LOVE IT!!!
  • Real tree or fake tree?
-I don't care as long as there's a tree!

*Speaking of trees, here's the tree in Rockefeller Center in NYC:
  • Do you remember your favorite gift?
-Jamie took me to New York City two years ago for Christmas/Graduation gift. Best gift ever. It's still my favorite city in the world.
  • What's the most important thing about Christmas for you?
-Churchy answer: Being reminded about the "True meaning of Christmas". Honest answer: family time. Nothing is more special for me then to spend time with my family and Jamie's family. I just love them to pieces.
  • What is your favorite Holiday dessert?
-French Silk Pie
  • What is your favorite tradition?
-Watching countless Christmas movies. ABC's 25 Days of Christmas and Falalala Lifetime!

*This is our first sad little Christmas tree back in Stillwater, OK:
  • What tops your tree?
-Nothing now, because my BIG Christmas box is deep in the storage unit. But last year, it was a star. Still looking for an Angel tree topper.
  • Do you prefer giving or receiving?
-Since I have limited funds, giving is tough, but I still love it! When you're frugal, you get creative :) So I find that fun. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't love to receive gifts as well.
  • What is your favorite Christmas song?
-O Holy Night and Carol of the Bells
  • Candy canes. Yuck or yum?
Yuck.
  • Favorite Christmas movie?
Tim Allen's "The Santa Clause"
  • What do you leave for Santa?
-Chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk, and carrots for the reindeer.
  • Do you have a Christmas morning tradition?
-Wake up and open gifts asap! Stockings first!
  • Do you prefer to shop online or at the mall?
-Mall
  • Christmas letter or Christmas card?
-I grew up doing Christmas cards with pictures of me and Angela. I think Jamie and I need to start that tradition next year :)

Hope you enjoyed my little Christmas survey! Like I said, please feel free to answer any of the questions in the comments section. I'd love to hear how you celebrate the holidays!

Merry Christmas week!!! Love you!
