Pinterest has been very good to me lately. I've done a few workouts that I've found on here (butt-kicking and wonderful). I've made a few recipes (all have been delicious). I've even done a craft! *Gasp* For those of you who know me, I DO NOT craft. At all. That's where I lacked big time as a teacher because I hated teaching anything artsy. I worked with this awesome lady named Lolita who taught all of my art stuff. Bless you, Lolita. But I thought I'd share some deliciousness and cuteness with you.
S'mores Cookies:
A couple things I changed if you're going to make these:
- You don't need 1-2 full packages of graham crackers. Just break them into squares or rectangles and cover a 9-13 inch back dish. I used a glass one and there's no need to spray the bottom.
- After you plop the cookie dough on top of the graham crackers, spread it out a tid bit with a greased spatula.
- After you've placed the broken-up Hershey bars onto the cookie dough to bake for 5-7 minutes, it took me about 12 more minutes. It was oober gooey (which was delicious), but too gooey. So just watch it.
- I added more marshmallows because I love marshmallows
- I used milk chocolate mini chocolate chips because I don't like semi-sweet chocolate. Who wants semi-sweet anything anyway!? Yuck! And I like the mini chips the most. I don't even bother with regular sized chips anymore :)
I think that's all I changed! OH! The cinnamon sounded weird to me when I saw it in the ingredients, but I'm telling you. It absolutely makes these cookies divine! Somehow the cinnamon flavor gives it a smokey, fiery taste. I have no idea why, but it's delish. All this to say: make these asap.
DIY Calendar:
I told you a few days ago that I was going to make my own calendar, and I did! I think it turned out rather nicely! We use this calendar to write what's going on in our lives (especially the monumental milestone in my life happening on the 28th...) and Thanksgiving of course--my favorite Holiday. I write my work schedule on there so Jamie can look at it if I'm not around to tell him. And he will write his travel days when he knows them :) Great, huh? I think it turned out fairly well for a person who's not the craftiest lady in the bunch.
Tomorrow night, I'm making baked chicken parmesan which I found on Pinterest and I'll be sure to give you an update! I've enjoyed this super fun time-wasting website!
In other news, Leia got a new bra:
Thanks for looking at the camera, sweet cheeks:
Her other bra (harness) was a tid bit snug, so we got her a cute pok-a-dotted one. Isn't it presh?!
And this is what I do in the mornings after my workout and before work:
I lounge around in my robe with wet hair and piddle. I love my mornings :)
No Greater News
For some reason I woke up singing one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite artists. "No Greater Love" by Steven Curtis Chapman. I hadn't heard this song in ages, but I literally woke up with this song on my heart. I wonder if it was God giving me a hefty reminder of what the best kind of love is. I encourage you all go to go to this website here and read the words to this song. It moved me years ago when I first heard it and it still pulls at my heartstrings today.
