Birthday Weinie!!

I like today's calendar page :) God does allow bad things happen to good people, but he allows people to lend a shoulder to cry on and an ear to talk to. Praise Him for friends!

Which leads me to my next topic...

Last night, Jamie and I got together with some friends rather randomly and a little last minute. We love our friends, Phillip and Claire, BJ and Sarah. We connected with these 2 couples pretty instantly when we moved here, so they are really special friends in our lives. Well, I decided I want to have them over to catch up and hang out, and I thought to myself, "Self, why not just have some cake and ice cream as well?" Jamie's birthday is on Friday, so this certainly was NOT a birthday celebration (since James isn't a big birthday celebrator), but it was simply a time to eat cake and ice cream together :) Always a need to celebrate!

The Cake:
Since it was so last minute, I didn't make a dessert. Instead I bought a cake. Just as good! I had a coupon to Baskin Robbins for $3 off a cake, but they're still to daggum expensive! So I opted for a Kroger chocolate cake and Blue Bell homemade vanilla ice cream. Classic combo. Perfect combo.

Birthday Weinie:

I found this bad boy at one of my bridal showers about 2 years ago! (Wow that was a long time ago! Time flies!) And I knew I had to own this thing!

Chick Pic!:

Right before everyone left, I remembered that we needed a girl pic! I'm trying to get better at taking pictures of our friends for memory's sake! So, I yelled out, "Wait! Chick pic!!!" Then I heard a few groans from Sarah and Clair, not expecting to get their picture taken...gotcha! And we took a lovely last minute picture. Look who made the pic...
Of course Leia was in it. I'm talking about BJ! Welcome to the girls' side, BJ!! You look precious!

Well, I'm off to the real world. I've got a long long meeting tonight, so I won't be home til late :( Sad sad day. I love you all and pray you have a fantastic day! It's supposed to rain in Memphis today, so all my Memphian friends, be careful! Love you!
