Long Walk for Little Legs

Fridays are great days. It's the last day of the work week. It's the day where I can relax and simply enjoy. For example. I wore Toms (You know...to cover my boy toes). I wore very comfy, casual, linen orange pants. A gray v-neck shirt. My hair pulled back. (No shower). Minimal make-up. And...that's about it. It's Friday. I embraced it fully. And was still better dressed than several of my coworkers! Boooya!

After work, I came home and Jamie and I had carrots and sandwiches. Were we on a picnic? No. I just didn't want to cook. Plain and simple. Then I took the goggy on a long walk. That little sucker absolutely refused to walk for the first few minutes!! I refused to turn around. So I picked her up and walked her for a few minutes until she got going. Pathetic, I know. At first, I wasn't even planning on taking her, but was quickly convinced whenever she perked up at the word "walk" when I told Jamie I was going on one. Well, I was planning on walking a good 2 miles, and whether she liked it or not, we were still doing that!

Here is the result of our long, 2 mile, 40 minute walk:
Yes, it did take us 40 minutes to walk 2 miles. Her legs are like 3 and a half inches long, okay? I came home at 8:00 and Jamie was 100% conked out on the couch! He must be a bit sleepers. So, I'm embracing this time to watch some Army Wives, take a long, hot *much needed* shower, blog, read blogs, write down some workouts, and all the while, enjoying having this sweet pup resting on my lap. Love my baby gurl! She does make it hard to type though...

If you've never walked with a weinie dog, they're an interesting animal. She sometimes goes oober slow. She also tends to go really really fast! Thought I'd try out the good ol' iPhone video to show you my sweet angel on this very fast-paced walk. We'll see how this works...

Hope you folks had an excellent Friday! I'm glad it's the weekend! Whoop whoop! Love you guys!
