Happy October!!

Hi All! I started to do this blog last night, but then Jamie and I decided to watch Thursday night's office episode. HI-LARIOUS!!! You MUST watch it!

1. HAPPY OCTOBER, EVERYONE!!! I love this month, because it's like the first full month of Fall. Which we all know I love with all my heart and soul and mind! Lots of fun planned this Fall: My sister's wedding, trip to Branson with the hubs, seeing lots of family, Camie (sister-in-law's) birthday, Pumpkins, Fall parties, Halloween, CHOCOLATE, and more! I love the month of October! Even better....the next Month is November. Which means it's birthday month and Thanksgiving, my favorite Holiday! Whoop whoop! It's a great year! This time of year is when I am the happiest!
Cute pic, huh? We dress up our cats at home every year. They love it, I promise. Even Leia gets to dress up!

Mistletoe Merchant:
Last night, I went to Mistletoe Merchant with a few girls from church and it was a blast! It was all fun cutesy stuff at the agricenter and I wanted ALL OF IT!!! I wanted the frames and the decorations and the clothes and the food and everything! Oh so fun! I got some candied cashew samples, and Paula Deen's Ooey Gooey Cake samples (God bless you, Miss Paula), and we looked around and I got my ring cleaned and everything! So fun! And the only thing that I bought was a daggum ring cleaner!! We all got our pretty rings cleaned for free and then I suckered into buying it!!!! It was a-ma-zing! He showed me how much tarnish was on my ring and how much yellow was on it...oh my goodness! It looks brand new! So I bought it. And no, I don't regret it either :) It looks like how I got it when I got engaged like in this picture:
Leia Lu Hoo:
Look at my puppy gog. Is she not precious? I was cleaning up a storm yesterday and I walked in the living room and this is how she looked. She was curled up under the blanket with her nose and feets sticking out. I love my baby girl!
Jamie and his baby goggie. She loves her hoomin (human) daddy :)
She's also very protective of him when he's playing Halo!
I went on a walk the other day, and this giant wolf-dog was following me! He stared at me for a while and I prayed that he was old and slow and wouldn't eat me. Lord knows he could have chomped my head off! If he were to chomp off anything, I would hope that he would start with my boo-tay first. That could stand a few chomps before it went away. But he was a big goggie!
It's Syrup Saturday today! This is an old picture, but I made PERFECT CIRCLE whole wheat pancakes. It's been tough to make my pancakes the perfect circle, because I'm not a good flipper. I think I've perfected it now. We've been married for one year and about 3 months. Syrup Saturday every weekend...I BETTER be a good pancake flipper!

Today, Jamie and I are headed to the gym. Then I'll probably walk. Then we're going to the pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins for our Small Group pumpkin carving party tonight! Woo hoo! I'm making a trifle and apple cake. Pictures and recipes to come later if they're good :)

What's your plan today? Enjoying the beautiful weather? Sleeping? Playing with your family? Shopping? I just hope it's something fun fun fun!

Jamie and I read Isaiah 40 last night, and it just made me smile. Please take just a few minutes to read it and truly soak in what a mighty God we serve! He is our fortress. He is our protector. He is our Knight in shining armor. He guides us. He provides for us. He gives us strength when we feel weak. He loves us unconditionally. Are you a believer? If not, let's talk. I'd LOVE to talk about this amazing God that I know and love! But really, take some time today to read Isaiah 40. Read it, soak it in, pick a verse and meditate on it, see how it applies to your life. God is good all the time. All the time God is good!

Love you guys! Happy October!!
