Let's just be honest with ourselves. I know that you all have been waiting for the past almost 20 days for me to update the ol' blogster. You've been checking back by the hour just longing for that new post update to pop up! Well, here ya go! I'm back in the real world and yes, it took me about a week to get me back into the groove :)
First, I'll update you about my sister's wedding. Then I'll tell you about our Branson trip. Then, I'll tell you what's been going on as of late. Enjoy!
Wedding Week!:
The whole wedding went off without a hitch and it was all PERFECT!! I can't believe my sister is a married lady! Woo hoo! I'll just give you the quick rundown of what all went on that week.
- Wednesday: I arrive in T-Town. Ran wedding errands. Lunch at Charleston's with the original Ervin 4--dad, mom, me, sister. More errands. Dinner at McGill's with parents and sister again. LXI wine bar with mom, sister, aunts and cousins to celebrate my seester!!!
- Thursday: Walk with my sweet friend, Stacy. Manicures with mama. Jon arrived in Tulsa. Lunch with Jon, Angela, mom and my sweet mother-in-law! Angela and Jon ran wedding errands and picked up wedding party all day at the airport. We had all of the wedding people in town at our house for some BBQ. I went to Braum's with my precious Chi O friend, Hayley Peck. She's amazing and I miss her incredibly! Stayed up late, talking with everyone.
- Friday: Ran in the morning. Bridal luncheon at The Oaks Country Club. Yummy! Pedicures at Bella Vita Spa and Salon. Thank you, Angela!!! Home to change and get ready for rehearsal and dinner. Rehearsal at First Baptist Church in Downtown Tulsa. Dinner at The Chalkboard. Back home to put together wedding favors. Last night's sleep for the bride as an "Ervin".
- Saturday: Wedding day!!!!! Morning run. Hair and make-up came to our house for a relaxing day of pampering. Pictures at the Davis' house. Gorgeous new home! To the church! The ceremony was perfect and sweet and heartfelt and then we partied it up at Five Oaks Lodge!!! Woo hoo!!! Jon and Angela left the reception in a stinkin' helicopter!! How romantic!?
Seriously, the whole wedding was PERFECT!!! Angela may have found something that went wrong, but as far as I knew, it all went perfectly! Truly! I'm so happy for her and Jon and can't wait to see the newest Lobb newlyweds :) They got back from their tropical honeymoon in Maui and we have played phone tag for the past 2 days. Lovely. Anyways. They're awesome and I'm so happy for them!
Here are a few pictures that I captured of wedding week:
Bridal luncheon at The Oaks:
Branson Vacay!!!!
Jamie has been asking for vacation time because he truly has not had a day off since our Breckenridge trip since December. So...I'd say it's high time he had a day off! The man hasn't even taken a sick day! He's a good boy :) We both took a full week off and went to Branson the day after the wedding to enjoy some good ol' husband and wifey alone time. We stayed at Lonesome Dove Log Cabin and it was utter perfection. This place was PERFECT! It was in Hollister, MO and about 10 minutes away from everything Branson has to offer, like The Branson Landing, the strip, restaurants, KANAKUK, and so on :) It was beautiful, and we'll definitely be back.
Here's the short rundown of our Branson trip:
- Sunday: Left Tulsa and met Camie, Jamie's sister, in Siloam Springs for lunch. Drove into Branson and got settled into the cabin. Drove around and explored a while. Dinner at Jimmy John's (yuck). Went to Wally World for groceries. TV and bed.
- Monday: Breakfast at the cabin. Went on a walk together, as a couple!!! (This never happens). Spent the first part of the day at The Branson Landing. I bought moccasin house shoes at Bass Pro. I could have bought something from every store, but I resisted. We had lunch at this yummy Mexican restaurant right on The Landing with Taneycomo Lake in the background. Then we headed to the Strip and shopped at the Tanger Outlet. Naps at the cabin. Made pizza and a fire and stayed in for the night.
- Tuesday: Breakfast at the cabin. Went on a walk (by myself). Drove to Springfield to eat at Lambert's! Yummmmmy!!! Went to the first Bass Pro shop and spent way too much time there! But it was actually really fun. Back to the cabin for a night in. We were full and sleepy. So another fire and great night in the cabin :)
- Wednesday: SILVER DOLLAR CITY!!!! I hadn't been there in years, and it was still just as perfect as I remember! When we got there, Jamie and I rode all of the roller coasters back to back to back without waiting in any lines. So fun! Then we walked around and people watched and played and ate and it was perfect! Let's be honest. The people watching at Silver Dollar City beats airport people watching any day. We ate burgers and fries for lunch and then shared a funnel cake later on for a snack. Great day! We went back to the cabin after about 5 hours at the park and took naps. Much needed. Dinner and ice cream at Fudruckers and Cold Stone Creamery.
- Thursday: Headed back to Oklahoma to spend the rest of the week in Bartlesville with Jamie's family.
Here are some fun pictures of the week:
This was my gorgeous view every day when I went on my walks. So pretty:
Today, Jamie is at work in the morning and I'll probably head to the gym before too long. Jamie and I are gonna shop for some work stuff for him and then have a sushi and ice cream date tonight. He's the greatest!
