Long Overdue: Dartmouth Trip

I'm back, everybody!

I must sincerely apologize for my absence on this ol' blog, but I've had a bit going on. My mother-in-law told me that according to blog readers, I'm still in Charleston, SC. I wish, right? No no, I've been home and it's been lovely.

Here's a quick recap of whats been going on before I tell you about our Dartmouth trip:

  • Home from Charleston.
  • In Lafayette for 4 days.
  • Dartmouth trip
  • Home for a week--Jamie hasn't been home for a whole week in about 2 months! I was sooo grateful to have his cute face home with me!
  • Jamie and I had a romantical dinner at City Grill in Lafayette
  • We saw Wreck It Ralph (hilarious movie!)
  • Worked for a few days and then headed to Tulsa for Thanksgiving
  • Thanksgiving lunch at my aunt Debi's house
  • Saw Life of Pi Thanksgiving evening--hated every second of it
  • Lunch with the Schoenthaler fam on Friday
  • Dinner with my fam and Jamie's fam on Saturday
  • Hung out with my bestie, Megan on Sunday
  • Volunteered at the Caring Center with my dad
  • Violently vomited for about 11 hours straight on Monday...lovely, huh?
  • Stayed in bed all day Tuesday
  • Saw some girlfriends--Hayley, Karen, Kendall--Tuesday evening
  • And now I'm sitting in bed, feeling much better, on my 26th birthday, typing this blog post!
I also just discovered that I have used all of my free storage space for my blog, so I have to pay $2.50 a month now for storage space. I actually think it's because my readers have become quite numerous that I have to pay to keep this blog up and running. Joke. Lies. Only my mom and Jamie's mom read this blog, and we all know that to be true :)

Back to the Dartmouth trip!!!

My brother in law is a sophomore at Dartmouth, and plays football there as well. We visited him there last year and it was a blast, so we're making it a yearly adventure now!

We arrived in Boston on a Friday, and drove with the whole family to Hanover, NH. Last year, I thought I was in Hanover, MA...but we were not. No one has ever accused me of being a geography buff.

Friday evening, we grabbed dinner with Kirby and a few of his friends and shared some big laughs. It was fun getting to meet his friends, because they were so similar to Kirb. Really funny, confident, gentlemanly, just sweet boys. I'm so grateful Kirby has that group of guys to hang out with there.

Saturday, we woke up and moseyed around for a bit before heading into town for the game. I was on a mission to buy some Dartmouth sweatpants, so I did and they're fabulous. I've been wearing Jamie's sweatpants to bed, because mine are getting a bit snug, thanks to this growing sweet pea. Love my new bed time pants!

At each of the home games, there is a big tent for the football families with really great food and drinks to enjoy before and after the game. It's so nice for the families to get together and chit chat and eat and bond at each of the games. I think it's a neat little deal they've got going on.

Then it was game time! They played Brown that day, and it was a pretty good game! Honestly...I wouldn't know a good game from a bad game, but I kept hearing over and over again, "That was a great game!" So I'll just play along and pretend I know what I'm talking about. It was a great game...

Here's me and Jamie, my cute beloved, at the game:

I love his smile.

Jamie was LOVING all of these pictures back to back to back!

Kim and Marty:

Thank you so much for such a fantastic trip! Love you guys!

Camie and Jamie:

Now that's the smile we all know and hate!!! Oh James...you smiled so pretty for so many pictures...

Saturday evening, once the game was over, we all met at Molly's for dinner. We ate there last year as well, and it was quite delicious. We then hung out at Kirby's dorm for a bit before calling it a night.

Sunday morning, we woke up early and had breakfast at Shyrl's Diner before having to head back to Boston to catch our flights.

Schoenthaler siblings:

Love you guys to pieces:

Jamie made sure to get us all some lottery tickets from the gas station in hopes to win big. I was the only winner, actually, and it was a lousy $2.00. And guess where that ticket is now? At the bottom of my purse. We'll see if I cash that sucker.

Me and my winning lottery ticket:

Yet again, we had another fabulous trip to Dartmouth and I am so grateful for such fun times with my family! Love you all so much and I can't wait for the next Schoenthaler vacay!

Love you too, readers! Thanks for hanging in with me! Hope y'all had a very lovely Thanksgiving! Know that you are loved!
