This is my final post from our Charleston, SC trip a little over a week ago. I know you're sad about it, but no worries...I've got a post coming this week about my Dartmouth trip this past weekend! Holla!
So on Saturday, November 3rd, our last day in South Carolina, we all decided to do a carriage ride in downtown Charleston. I was really excited about this because I secretly really love touristy things. I have zero qualms with acting and looking like a tourist and tend to embrace anything vacationy.
Meet Bill, our trusty horse:
Bill was mighty strong because he not only carried a big o' carriage, but he also toted around like 15 people for a solid hour. It kind of made me sad for him, but Jamie reassured me that he is just a horse, and that he was perfectly fine. Still made me sad for the poor guy. I tend to make animals a little more human than they are...but I just can't help it.
Moving on.
Here are my parents, Angela and Jon, getting ready for our fun carriage ride around downtown:
Me and Jamie:
Another really lovely (not) picture of me and James:
You know, my love...you're a really handsome fella when you smile pretty. And this picture would have been really cute if you would actually smile!!!!!
Throughout the tour, we learned all about the history of many of the homes and buildings downtown. I wish I retained any of it, but sadly, my memory is crummy and I don't remember a lick of it. I took a few pictures of the homes that I thought were gorgeous, so I thought I'd share with you:
Many of these homes were built in the 17-and-1800's, and they are beyond fabulous! I think I could live quite nicely in any of these multi-million dollar homes. Couldn't you?
Jamie and I liked this little house. We thought he was cute:
After our carriage ride, Jamie actually took a really cute picture and smiled nicely with Bill. Thanks, James!
Then it was lunch time. Meal planning was very important on this trip. Duh. So Angela took care of our lunch location:
Hi, hubby:
I forgot the name of the restaurant, but we got some good ol' low country cooking at a cute restaurant in Isle of Palms. My dad and Jamie rode mopeds to the restaurant:
And the rest of us took the golf cart:
After lunch, it was nap time for everybody! A much needed nap time! I think beach trips are some of the best trips to take some serious naps. I know Jamie and I conked out for a couple hours. Glorious.
When everyone woke up from their naps, and before dinner, we headed down to the beach to take a few pictures.
Angela and Jon wanted to get a cute picture for a Christmas card this year:
And I just wanted to take some cute pictures of me and my beloved for kicks and giggles:
Thanks, Dooda, for being the family photog:
Hotty McToddy right there:
Beach pic with me and my Sweet Pea:
Once we got back up to the house, we took a few family pictures with my mama. Those are all on my dad's camera, so maybe once I get a copy of those, I'll share them with you. I'm sure they were precious.
Then I made the mistake of asking Jamie to take one more picture with me. He said it will be his last picture of the trip. Are you catching on that my precious beloved absolutely HATES taking pictures? Well, this was our final South Carolina picture together:
Go ahead and get a closeup on those eyes. Charming, huh? Truth be told, he's even cute when posing like a dork.
And of course, I had to get one final belly picture with me and Sweet Petit. She is 24.5 weeks old in my tummy in this picture and today, she is 26 weeks old:
Can't wait to meet that little lady.
Thanks again, Mama and Dooda, for the perfect beach vacation! Your generosity is greatly appreciated, and Jamie and I had the best time! Thank you thank you thank you!!! Looking forward to future vacations with our little addition :) Love you both dearly!!!
Hope you all enjoyed our family pictures as much as I did. Love my fam to pieces. So very grateful.
Love y'all!
