Friday: Stillwater, Sushi and a Surprise

Today has been the PERFECT Sunday! Absolutely perfect! I woke up all on my own around 8:00 AM. That may be super early to many of you, especially for a weekend, but that is sleeping in for me. I'm usually 5:45-6:00 waker-upper, so 8:00 was practically lunch time for me. Oh, it was glorious. Did I mention I went to be around 9:30. Wow, I'm a wild one!

Jamie and I lazed around this morning, I walked Leia, and then we went to church. Pretty good service on "Truth". Then we came back home, watched some SVU (we're starting all over--again--with Law and Order: SVU). It's our favorite! Then, we went to see Men in Black 3! So good! 1 and 2 are definitely better than the 3rd, but it was pretty good! Good humor, good action, and Will Smith. Need I go on? Oh. And I cried. Who cries in MIB3? This girl.

This evening, we are going to dinner where we're going to watch The Thunder vs. Miami game! THUNDER UP! Awesome Sunday!

AND there's a huge thunderstorm outside right now in Lafayette! Is it a sign from God that the Thunder is going to kill tonight? I sure hope so!

Let's back up to last Friday...

I had made plans with my crazy stellar friend, Molly to meet for breakfast/lunch/coffee/ice cream/something while I was in OK. We planned on meeting for lunch in Stillwater, but then our plans got changed to breakfast because she had a "study group"...which I later found out was a lie! Molly, thanks for being in on the surprise...which I'll tell you about in a second...

I met her at Red Rock for some delicious donuts and fabulous conversation. Molly is one of my oldest friends, and I have such amazing memories with you. We've shared huge laughs, big tears, life changing experiences together and more, and I am so thankful for this lady. So glad I got to see you, my dear Molly!

After breakfast, I drove around Stillwater for a bit before heading back home. I was going to walk around campus for a bit, but there was so much construction that I had no idea where to even go! It was pathetic! I miss OSU more than I can even express.

I decided to drive past my little college house that I lived in with 3 girls my last year in college--Emily, Emily and Lauren:

Cute house, sweet girls, great memories! I got engaged in this house, you know! I miss you, Orchard home!

Then I tried to drive past the Chi O house to see what was going on there. I tried my best to grab a picture, but someone was riding my tail, so I couldn't slow down to get a pic. But man oh man do I miss that Chi Omega house. Those were some of the best years of my life. I love my sweet sisters and I'll cherish those memories we made in college forever! Love you girls!

On my way out of town, I drove my mix and Jamie's first house that we had together as a married couple:

We got married on June 26th, 2009 (can you believe my anniversary is in 9 days?!?!), and this was our cute first home together. Get this--we lived right off on Benjamin and Franklin. True story. I loved this house. It was perfect for our little family of 3. Gosh, I miss Stillwater!

On my way back to Tulsa, I sang through the whole SMASH soundtrack around two or three times--I so with I could sing like Megan Hilty! That girl can sang!! When I got home, I snoozed for a bit until I got a call from my mama.

My mom and I had planned to go shopping for some more Toms (I think we have a problem), and when I walked downstairs, I heard Leia bark a little bit. What was her deal? Then look who walked around the corner:

My hottie husband flew home to surprise me!!!! I was enthralled! What a fabulous surprise he was!!! I had been away from him for over a week and was missing him desperately. We hung out around the house for a while and then grabbed some sushi with my family. It's pretty much a requirement to eat at In The Raw when I'm in town. Best sushi ever!

Leia kind of photo bombed this picture:

By the way, I had to bribe Jamie with a 30 minute back scratch for him to smile nicely in this picture:

He usually smiles like he's constipated...

He is so cute...but such a little turd. 30 minute back scratch...brat.

Love you baby!
