Gym Etiquette

(Source)

When I go to the gym, I like to lift my weights, do some cardio, watch some TV on the machines and get outa there. No where in that list did I mention wanting to get visually molested by a gym perv. When I have a weight lifting day, I grab my weights and head to the corner of the gym, away from crowds. Until yesterday. This guy came over to the machine that was right behind me and was there for--no joke--35 minutes! The whole time I was lifting weights! Not only was he not using the machine the whole time, but he was just standing there, licking his lips and biting his bottom lip looking at me. I finally gave him the stank eye, shook my head at him and moved to the other side of the gym. If I see him again, I'm reporting that son of a gun for being nasty. And please don't think that I was rocking short shorts and a sports bra to work out in. My running skirt was an inch short of being a moo moo and I was wearing a t-shirt. And a hat. That's a far cry from sexy. Anyways. Enough of my venting for now, but seriously. Good gym etiquette means minding your business and not giving young girls the perv look. Thank you very much.

Flash Back
If you're around my age, then you better know what those are!! POGS! Who remembers Pogs? Who played with Pogs? Whose school banned Pogs because the slammers were a weapon?

Here was my slammer:
I found these babies when I was cleaning up and packing this week and I couldn't help but try to play. I wasn't good back then and I still stink now. But man, those were like a five minute fad. If any of you still have your Pogs, we should get a wicked game going!

This week, I've been busy busy busy packing my life away. We're moving on Monday, so it's crunch time now. I'm trying to keep only what I'll need until Monday. That's a hard task to do, by the way.

This little lady has been absolutely no help at all:
I've done my last few loads of laundry as well before we move it all to Louisiana. Can you spy my little creeper?:
Caught ya! Lulu loves laundry day. Curling up in hot towels...nothing beats it:
Okay, maybe snuggling in the comforter when it's all messy on the floor:
Yesterday, I took a break from packing and went on a walk with Holly and her baby boy, Warren. Shame on me for not getting a picture of us, by the way! Bad blogger, Abby! It was such a gorgeous day and Holly and I always enjoy our time together. Sweet Warren started to get fussy and Holly had the mama instinct to put the seat down for him to lie down and take a little snooze. He was zonked out the whole time we were walking. Good baby :)

Last night, my cute friend, Jenny, and I went to Osaka for some sushi:
Is her pixie hair cut not the cutest thing ever?! Jenny has been such an awesome friend while we've lived in Memphis. We haven't hung out as much as I'd like, but we've had a ball getting to know each other better this summer. Love you girl! I'm gonna miss your sweet face!

Today, I have been packing some more and putting together even more Goodwill piles. Gosh, it feels good to know that we're taking so much less to Lafayette than we had here. I like to live minimally :) It's a good feeling.

Hey, by the way! I got a job in Lafayette! I'll be working at this super duper cute gift shop that is literally under my apartment. I'll have to walk down the stairs and over two shops to get to my store. It's this precious little gift shop boutique that has jewelry, purses, New Orleans Saints apparel, bath robes, cute kitchen stuff and more. Ah! I love it! I walked in there a few weeks ago to look around, started talking to the ladies there, they encouraged me to fill out an application, I filled it out and they hired me without an interview! Whoop whoop! It'll be a part time job and the days that I'm not working there, I'll hopefully be subbing. Lafayette is getting more and more exciting already! And I'm not even there :)

Look at this pile of worthlessness cuteness that I woke up to this morning:
She is LOVING my heating pad:
I am totally missing my Jamie. I haven't seen him in a eight days, and that is eight days too long. I'll see him on Tuesday for which I can hardly wait!!! I sent him this cheese ball picture last night:
Kisses from me to you, my love!

(Hey! Stop making fun of me! YOU try being away from your honey for two weeks! You wouldn't like it either!)

Progress so far:

Here is what is going in our storage unit thus far:
Here's what is going into the apartment thus far:
I'm probably about five-ish boxes away from being totally finished! Can I get an "Amen?" AMEN!

I realize that putting the boxes in the garage isn't exactly what you're supposed to do, but I guess I'm helping out the movers by having it ready for them :) Think my kindness will help cut the costs at all? Ehhh...fat chance.

In between boxes, I've been working on this SOB of a puzzle:
Jamie and I started this bad boy when we were dating. It is a 1,000 piece puzzle and each piece is a different picture from a Disney movie so it is basically impossible!!! I'm so close, yet so far to being finished! The goal is to finish by Monday and frame this puppy!

What's that you say? You're framing your puzzle?

Hecks yeah, I am! I worked too dang hard on this baby! I'll be sure to show you the final product.

Alrighty tighty. I'm off to bed. Leia Lu is snoring, ready for beddy-bye. Lots of love to you all!
