Ben's Wedding Weekend

What started off as a fantastic weekend, has now turned into a sickly, green snot, coughing and hacking Abby. Eww.

Let's back up, shall we?

Jamie, my beloved hubster, took me to get sushi last week. What a guy! He doesn't eat it, but he knows I LOVE it! Thanks babe! Here are my 2 rolls:

Ben's Wedding Weekend:

Moving on...

Ben, one of Jamie's best friends, met an incredible girl last year and everyone immediately knew she was "the one"! Love it when that happens. Ben and Heather got married this weekend in Ft. Worth, TX and it was such a fun weekend! Besides the beautiful weather, sweet and tender wedding, great company, friends and family, it was just so nice to get away! I haven't really been anywhere in months, so it was nice to get away.

But since we were going to be gone for a whole weekend we had to find a home for Leia Lu Lu. We made reservations for her to stay at the Pet Hotel at PetSmart, but that was just depressing (and expensive). So, our sweet friends Emily and Phillip said they'd be happy to not only watch her, but to let her stay at their house and sleep in their bed! Wowzers, we have really good friends!!!

Emily sent me a couple pics of the weekend:

Leia and Daisy the pug, snuggling together in bed. They must have been exhausted after 2 full days of playing together!:
Emily sent me this picture when she picked up Leia to let me know she was in good hands :)
Supposedly Leia was a good girl and a lot of fun to have around, but I'm so glad to have her back. Thank you, Phillip and Emily for watching our baby girl!!

Back to the wedding...

Jamie and I left Friday morning and headed on our long journey to Texas...a little more than a 7 hour drive. Yuck. We stopped at McDonald's for lunch (eww) and continued on our merry way.
When we got there, we just hung out in the room and then met some friends and Jamie's family down by the hot tub outside. It was GORGEOUS in Dallas and the sun was out, so we enjoyed our time outside together.

The rehearsal dinner was at the Texas Ranger's Stadium and that was a lot of fun! They had a Mexican buffet and cookies and brownies for dessert. I was a happy lady :)

Mr. Frost, the father of the bride, told the boys that he had some spicy chili sauce for them to try that would make a man out of all of them. I guess it's like the hottest chili in the world, and some crazies had the bazoinkas to make a sauce out of it.

Here is a series of pictures of the boys trying the crazy hot sauce...

Checking out the ingredients:
Seeing if little brother Kirby is going to participate:
Adding the drops of hell onto a tortilla:
There's not a lot on there, but trust me...it's plenty!:
The aftermath. Not so bad at first, but just wait:
Okay Okay...I'm starting to feel it:
Wooo weeee, everything is on fi-ya!:
Gurgle gurgle...get rid of this blasted heat!!! (There's the groom in blue!):
Their mouths quit hurting after a while, but then their esophagus started burning and then their stomachs were on fire. Hence why none of the ladies tried. No thank you! Thank you, Mr. Frost for providing some entertainment for the evening :)

Here's where the rehearsal dinner was:
Me and my cute hubby. I prefer the over exaggerated smile over his frog smile which he usually does:
On Saturday, I worked out, had a Texas-shaped waffle, went shopping with Camie and Kim (my sister and mother-in-law), had some pizza for lunch, went to the wedding, then ate at Des Friscos for dinner with my in-laws. Top night! Overall, awesome wedding weekend!

Jamie and I at the wedding:
Since the time change was yesterday, we woke up a little late and left Dallas an hour later than expected. We had Breakfast with Jamie's family, and then headed on our merry way back home.

Check out this lovely bathroom on one of our potty stops:
Sick, huh?

It gets worse though:
You probably can't see it, but the one on the far left says "Rough Rider Condoms". Sick nasty. Yet, entertaining!

We arrived home to our puppy gog around 3:30, I did some laundry, went on a walk, took a bath and then we took Phillip and Emily our for BBQ to thank them for watching Leia! Such a fun night and we're glad to be home!

On the sad note...I'm sick as a wet dog! I've got "the crud". I'm blowing and coughing up green goblins (I knew you all wanted to know), and I just feel miserable. So, back to bed I go. Until later...adios amigos! Hope your Monday is healthier than mine is! Love you all tons!
