Old Memories

Before I get to my old sappy memories, I've got just a couple Super Bowl pics to share from last night. We had such a fun evening and I actually sat in front of the tv and "watched" the game. Did I cheer once? Nope. Did I pick a team to yell for? Nope. I was there to socialize and eat. My butt is proof of that too! Ick!

The beautiful ladies, Jenny and Whitney:
Me and my cute cute hubs...nice smile, babe:
Sarah, Jamie, Me, BJ (doing dirty things to my man), and Claire:
Last night really was a fun evening. The Oreo balls I made were gone instantly! Buuuuutttt....the chili I made was not gone at all *insert sad face*. The good news is that I've got chili to feed a small army! (ie: me and Jamie). So I put about 90% of the chili in Tupperware bowls and put it in the freezer for later. And the other 10% we'll eat this week. Those will be my lazy dinner meals!

Old memories:
Close friends and family will know exactly what that pile consists of.

Back in the day (elementary school and middle school....and parts of high school), I collected charms from everywhere! Mostly from James Avery until the charms went from $12 to $40!! Ridic! But I loved those charms! I still do! And I have...lots. I remember going back to James Avery in high school, looking for a new charm and I nearly messed myself looking at the prices! Goodness me! I'd love to have every single charm in there, but I haven't bought a charm in years due to the silly prices. Mr. Avery, I still love you...but your prices are too high for me. Send me to Charming Charlie instead :)

Here are some of my favorites:
I know the picture is horrid quality, but what you see is:
  • Kiowa charm from Kamp
  • Cross and tennis shoes charm from kamp
  • I'm 3rd fish from kamp
  • Mug with "Abby" on it
  • Cow charm (yes, a cow)
  • Silver cross with a black cross in the middle (that's my "classy" charm)
  • Brown cross with a lavender flower
  • Owl charm
  • Cowboy hat charm
  • A charm that says "faith" from my old pom coach
  • Turtle charm.
I love these little guys so much, and am going to start wearing them more often. They made me so happy when I found them in a box this morning. I wore the silver and black cross today. What's great about them is they're all special for different reasons. I wore my kamp charms religiously back in the day. I got my owl charm when I became a Chi Omega. I love turtles and cows. I got my cowboy hat charm when I went to OSU. They're all individually special :)

Do you have any old items that bring back good memories? I wanna hear about it!

Anyhoo. That's just a little tid bit of my past. Hope you're still awake!

Today was a really great day! I only had 7 kids at school, and it just ran really smoothly. Thank you, Jesus!

Tomorrow, I hope to talk about Brother Steve's sermon from yesterday. Gosh, it was amazing! He talked about the story of Joseph which we've all heard a million times, but he taught me more about that story then I've ever learned! I love Brother Steve. I love Bellevue. I'm so happy where I am right now with the church and feel so blessed that God has provided a physical body of Christ and a physical church for Jamie and I to enjoy. Praise Him!

Ladies, I know you're watching The Bachelor right now! It gets better every week! I'm watching it enjoying a cup of non-fat hot chocolate (lame), when I'd really rather be enjoying a full fat hot chocolate with a pound of whipped cream on top. Oh well. Maybe if my rear shrinks about a foot smaller, then we'll talk about that special hot cocoa!

Love you guys! Have a great night!
