3 Hour Tour

Whelp...It's crazy outside. And I'm at school. Makin' the big bucks. *isert sarcastic face*

Yesterday, it started snowing around noon and didn't stop til about 5:00, but it snowed HARD for those 5 hours!!!

Jamie took pictures of his morning and evening drive.

Morning:

Evening: Big difference, huh?! The company that owns my school finally closed at 2:00, and I got to leave at 2:45. Guess what time I got home? 5:50!!! Yes, it took me 3 stinkin' hours to get home, slipping and sliding the WHOLE way home! And I only work about 20 miles away from home. It's usually a 20 minute drive. I was thiiiiiissss close (very close) to parking my car and walking, because that would have been faster and safer. I was literally praying (and maybe crying) the whole way home. Thank you, Jesus for getting me home safe and sound! I thank you and praise your Holy name!

Despite the awful drive home, Jamie and I still decided to play in the snow with Leia Lu Lu.:

Look at this schweet face happy to be in from the cold:
Jamie, Leia and I ran back and forth, back and forth, up and down our back yard. Here are the track marks to prove it:
The roads this morning were unpleasant. I-40 wasn't bad, but Sam Cooper was no bueno! I literally didn't push on my accelorator, because I was sliding/gliding the whole way. Bad news bears big time!!! BUT! I made it safely! And it's been an easy and fun day :)

Joseph Sermon:

Last week, Brother Steve gave an excellent sermon on Joseph that you have got to hear! Click here to listen and you will not regret it. I promise. Here are few notes I took:

  • A mature believer dreams big dreams. (Genesis 37:5-11)
  • "Expect great things from God. Attempt great things for God." William Carey
  • God is the giver of big dreams.
  • God is for us--not against us.
  • A mature believer endures opposition. (Genesis 37:11-28)
  • The bigger the dream, the tougher the opposition.
  • The devil dights hardest against the Lord's most faithful servants.
  • Hebrews 11:33-38
  • Paul's Resume--> 2 Corinthians 11:23-28
  • The world hated Jesus. It will hate His followers.
  • A mature believer values moral purity. (Genesis 39:7-12)
  • You don't fight, you FLEE!! (1 Corinthians 6:18)
  • A mature believer is honored by God. (Genesis 41:37-45)
  • God is a God who exalts people in due time. (Luke 14:11)
  • A mature believer practices forgiveness. (Genesis 50:15-21)

If you are unable to watch his sermon, at least take some time to study Joseph. He was an AMAZING man of God who followed Him with his whole heart! I hope to be half the person that Joseph was long ago.

I love you all, my dear friends! If there is snow in your area, be safe and be warm! Happy Thirsty Thursday!

  1. I love that you hold your puppy goggie like a little baby. I used to do the same thing with my little doggie before I had babies. I think you will be an amazing mama when the time comes! Hugs! KK
